Actaully the better quote is from the expaned definition of inherint in the wish section, where it explicietly says they don't stack (as opposed to the DMG where they make no referance to it what so ever). Go fig. I was going by the DMG section. Miracle is not mentioned one way or the other.

Actually you can use 5 +1 books to get your +5 from my reading. So wishes would do it (or miracles) though you would be going for the extra-ordinary 5k XP (if I recall the cost correctly) kind. -Y

Yeah but GMW would bring the sword to +5 (and the Lion Shield too, for a second one). How is your ranged setup? Getting a Mighty +4 bow and some arrows--with GMW turns that into a +10 (at 15th level) weapon system with something like +13 for you to hit and +14 to damage.

I do beleive you are toast. Heck our in our game our lead fighters (well me [12th cleric] and Rask the 10f/1r/1 paladin) have ACs of 30 unbuffed. If you have to go though with this fight make really friendly with the closest handy cleric for as much buffage as you can get. Sometimes, though...
