    Aberrations Green Dragon - Size/Scale?

Hi Folks, Sorry if this is the wrong forum. In any event, I'm thinking of picking up the Aberrations Green Dragon miniature for a large dragon for my 3.5 campaign. Is it the right size (10 ft. x 10 ft.)? Thank. D&D Miniatures Gallery: Aberrations Set Edit: got my answer (which was...

    Lankhmar

Uhm, why is resurrecting an old thread a bad thing? The old posts are still valid. Anywho, any more insights into why the 1e Lankhmar book is better than the 2e version?

Why does the 1e version have such a better reputation than the 2e version? The link to Krieg's comparison now goes to a 404 page.

    The Best Gaming Table

I voted for the Sultan because it is more or less a fancier version of the Avenger game table (the other "ultimate" game table). The Avenger may not be pretty, but I get the sense it is more practical than the Sultan and surely more practical than the other two on the list. Folks are probably...

    Building Your Own Gaming Table?

I bought a 4 x 8 piece of shower-board at Home Depot for about $11 and scored it with a grid. I works just like white board and is fantastic. Granted, getting that big piece home was a pain, but in hindsight, I'm sure they would have cut it down for me. A dry wall T-square is a great help...

Are you happy with your current gaming situation?

I play every other week, DMing and playing at alternate sessions. Being married with kids, that is pretty good for me. I used to DM every session and I'm finding playing every other session a welcome change.

How do you handle a missing player

The portal method... although not literally. The PC just isn't there. Having someone else run the PC is too much of a burden on the other player (or the DM) and it really stinks for all involved if the PC dies that session. Like the original poster, if that PC happens to have something vital...

    Gaming and Your Significant Other

Right, I agree completely. It's one thing if they aren't interested in it, it's another thing if it bothers them. I also can't imagine hiding it from someone I was with. I'm not saying I'd bring it up on the first date, but I can't imagine being in a relationship and having to hide it.

    Gaming and Your Significant Other

My wife dabbled with it a bit when we were dating, but decided it really wasn't for her. She has no problem with me playing though. She wasn't raised in the US, so she never had the "it's for nerds" hang ups. She figures it's better than me blowing cash at the bar or something. I play twice...

Which of the following 3PP v.3.5 products should I buy?

I voted for Eldritch Sorcery. It seems to be a vastly under-rated book. It was a tough choice, though, there are a lot of good books up there (not sure about the Book of EF, though).

Toys to be used with our Games?

Oh, how can I forget... BattleMasters! http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/700 This game has 100 minis. You'll need to get bases to mount them, but if you get the Games Workshop ones (the ones with the slot), they pop right in.

Toys to be used with our Games?

Weapons & Warriors is a game similar to Crossbows & Catapults, as suggested by Treebore. I have used some of the figures in my game. The sets seem to be going fairly cheaply these days. Weapons & Warriors

What size is your combat grid?

Jade... excellent table! One of these days I hope to build something like that. I have managed to piece a decent one together. A great way to get a huge combat grid cheap is to buy tile board (aka shower board) at Home Depot (~$11.00 for a 4 ft. x 8 ft. piece). I bought a piece, chopped off...
