The Lorethief core class - An acquirer of obscure knowledge (revised again)

Thanks. I don't mind you using the material, go ahead. Have you found any balance problem? Within the class, I know that 5th level is weaker than the others, and that 1st level is a mixed bag for a 1st level character as there is no real standing power. Aside from that, balance with other...

Links to Classes and Races in this forum

Just a little note, You seem to have both the Lorepilfer and Lorethief listed in the new core class list, but it's the same class and the same post, so you can safely remove the old Lorepilfer in favor of the new. BTW, thanks for all the work you've done on this list ;)

The Lorethief core class - An acquirer of obscure knowledge (revised again)

War = Complete Warrior Div = Complete Divine Arc = Complete Arcane Adv = Complete Adventurer RoD = Races of Destiny Those abreviations of the Complete series are the ones used by WotC (see here), I don't know for the Races book.

The Lorethief core class - An acquirer of obscure knowledge (revised again)

Here was the first edition of the class, which I removed for space/clarity since we're now at the 3rd one.

Class Construction Guide updated, more feedback needed

To add my little contribution to this thread, I'd say going into .25 points complicates things too much. I suggest 2 points for a bonus feat from a list of 1-2, 2.5 for a small list, and 3 for a large list (10+). Really, does it make a difference if I can chose from 40 feats or from a hundred? I...

The Lorethief core class - An acquirer of obscure knowledge (revised again)

Thanks again for all the comments. I agree totaly. D&D is very combat focused, so they must at least have a minimal capability in combat. That said, his spell list is going to force him to think more of ways to go around direct confrontation. Even the bard has more offensive spells, including...

The Lorethief core class - An acquirer of obscure knowledge (revised again)

Thanks all for the comments. For the overpowered part, if you take a better look at the class, you would see he doesn't have offensive capability as any other core class. He's got very limited weapon selection, and the worst BAB. His spell list contains absolutely no hit points dealing or...

The Lorethief core class - An acquirer of obscure knowledge (revised again)

Hi all! Thanks for looking. I hope you appreciate this core class. Here we go for a new revision. The main change is the new ability, Anticipate, that replaced the old Find weakness. The previous version of the class is posted in an abridged version in the 20th post, for reference. I'd really...

What Arsenal books do -YOU- want to see?

I would really like a book about daggers and punching daggers. Daggers are extremely versatile weapons, used by all sorts of people, yet the core rules hardly permit to explore their nature of stealthyness, speed, dexterity and deadlyness. As it is now, daggers are left aside by rogues because...
