Yes, that's because magic items had no levels ;) Just look at the name of the item and use the 4e version of it if it exists. Find something similar you'd like to use if it doesn't exist. One thing I find lacking in 4e is the magic items and spells compared to 1/2e.

Didn't get to read every post but I am surprised no one mentioned hirelings/henchmen. Yeah it's and old school feature but in this case it's probably better than forcing someone to re-roll or to adjust your encounters for them because they have no healer.

I don't think I have an issue with the role of the fighter, I just wanted to go the dex/con route instead of the str/con route. I didn't have an issue with shields either though with the dual weapon feats you could make up an additional AC from that... I just think of elven fighters as grace...

Not sure if it's just me or how I am doing it or what I am doing it with but when I try and use the modify init field it says "You are not allowed to modify that field". I use adobe acrobat pro, v8.1.2 under vista ultimate 64 w/sp1.

Any chance you could add an initiative modifier field? So I could add in the +2 from being a Warlord (and my groupmates can do the same). Right now I think all it does it takes the dex mod? Just would be nice to have an extra box near init that would modify the end value you list. Thanks!

Not sure I understand why that would be. Humans get an extra at-will and extra feat. They could take the feat as well and have 4 at-wills.
