What non-D&D RPGs should D&D look at for inspiration?

FATE for Aspects, the Solar System for Keys, Burning Wheel for a tight meta-game economy, Circles, and how success and failure in skills are handled.

    Game Elements from Other Systems

That's why the whole modular design thing sound so cool. If they can give me a FATE style D&D I'd actually play it again.

One generic ticket per 2 hour slot. So, if its a short game 1 ticket. If longer 2 (or more) tickets. Please please give the tickets to the Games on Demand host as this is the only way we have to show Gencon staff that we had players. You can now also get tickets for Games on Demand directly...

Hoping to test my unpublished RPG at Gencon

In addition to Games on Demand I would check out the dedicated Open Gaming Space that's supposed to be outside the game Library. Also, if you find a few people to play your game you can ask any of the Gencon staff tables and they will try to find you an open table. Good Luck!

I hope to play some of these. I should be running Houses of the Blooded, PDQ, FATE, maybe a few others. I'd also like to try running Dungeon World. See you soon.

Essentials doing what it was supposed to do?

Me too. I haven't run D&D since AD&D. I'm seriously considering a short run with the new Essential books. That said Ravenloft and Gamma World are more likely a better fit.

What would WotC need to do to win back the disenchanted?

It's not hard. I have a deep desire for the games of my youth to be out there.

What would WotC need to do to win back the disenchanted?

I've played (briefly) 3e, 3.5e and 4e. No way this would be fun for me to run. Too much fiddly rules. I guess there's very little chance they will move in a direction I would find enjoyable. I would love to support D&D more as there are a lot of potential players and it could be a great...
