I'm looking to create a "trial" to initiate the PCs into a group of undead slayers. I plan to split the party and provide a series of encounters in which they must prove themselves. This idea is only in the beginning stages, so I'm looking for some suggestions for the various tests.

If we could get on the GenCon forums (and they weren't crashing), I'd point you to one of the numerous threads that I had started on this. :D To sum it up, they need: a seperate database server, 2 load balanced dual processor servers. That alone would improve things significantly. Then...

Check the Kenzer boards. I answered your PM there too. I played the Crypt at the Dungeon Crawl Classics tournament at GenCon this last year. I will say this for Goodman Games - they have some excellent and very engaging GMs running their events.

Well, with some tweaking (encounter difficulties will have to be increased), Goodman Game's "Crypt of the Devil Lich" would be good. It certainly was a blast to play.
