ah yes, the stronghold builders guidebook. that was a HUGE waste of money! To me the arms and equipment guide was right up there as well.

Best: Unearthed arcana (3rd ed), I got alot of use out of red hand of doom (although it has its flaws), and rise of the ruin lords Trailblazer is by far the best 'fix' to 3rd, although i never got to run it for more than a session here or there cause everyone wanted to play pathfinder or 4rth...

Alright i voted "somewhat serious" i probably should have placed myself in the 'serious' category (via first page description), except for lack of opportunities to play, and lack of people to play with.

I'm a little late to the conversation here, but i just wanted to post that i absolutely LOVE the "cypher" system of rules for numenera. Its very easy to teach to new (or young) players, and easy to DM too. (although i'm still not sure if i prefer cypher or savage worlds, i'll have to run more...

As a self styled 'fitness nerd' I enjoyed this article. Fitocracy i found fun at first, but quickly got bored of it. Once you've completed most of the quests it just becomes and XP grind. One of the things i've always found interesting is having fellow nerds and players write themselves up...

i still think the art in the black reprints was just terrible.

I dm'd a game were the gods and been mostly selfish/wrathfull evil dark gods like the gods of conan-esque type senario's ... so the powerful beings of the world had risen up and destroyed them... because of cataclysmic upheaval the world was plunged into a dark ages of sorts for awhile, but...

well that sucks.

i will buy if its a reprint of the original. I absolutely will not buy if its a reprint of the black border 'revised' - god the art in those black border books was soooo terrible.
