Why is Dragonlance Your Least Favorite Setting?

I am going to second what alot of other people have already said: the setting is far too dependant on the novels. In fact, from what I remember about the RPG releases, it really didn't EXIST without the novels. I have the same problem with Middle Earth and Star Wars too, to a degree. You will...

    Baby's First Set of Dice

Let me add my congratulations as well! I have a 10 month old son who rolled an 18 on his first attempt ever. The cool thing was that the weapon was a keen longsword. He then lost interest but had he payed attention to the follow up roll he would have also seen his first critical hit. The group...

What info would you want in a New DM only book??

SKR's problem with certain high level encounters

I have a couple of problems with High-Level play. 1. It seems that the higher the character level, the higher the reliance is on magic items rather than class features. Obviously the Wizard and Sorcerer are exceptions. 2. At high levels, it seems much more likely that either the DM or the PCs...

    Poll Favorite D&D/d20 Published Setting

I have to go with the Forgotten Realms, mainly because they are the most supported setting. If a DM wants to run right out of the box, so to speak, you can't beat the Realms. On the other hand, if you are looking for a setting from which to steal ideas, the Realms still come out on top in my...
