    FFG Warhammer 40,000 RPG

I actually kind of like that. In SOME cases that might be an option, but the actual gaming session can be ruined (or at least vastly shortened). It might serve the campaign far more broadly, and failure is part of building drama.

    FFG Warhammer 40,000 RPG

So, is there anyone running a 40K RPG game? I run a Deathwatch at RPoL and admit the combat system is ill suited to play-by-post. Mind you, very few are well suited for forum play. Contenders seems to work OK for forum play. I'd be interested to hear people's thoughts on streamlining combat for...

Seems like a solid enough plan, although I wonder if that makes getting a traditional printer to do a run of "right, proper" books more expensive. I'm sure there's a point where there's enough demand to support a lot of options but that may be the point at which traditional print/distribute...

Media Mail isn't an option for international shipments. Why? I can't say. I could find out as a friend of mine is a Post Master if it's that important.

    FFG Warhammer 40,000 RPG

This was one of my big complaints as well and is one of the best things about Gumshoe. Failed roll CAN'T stall an investigation. That kind of mechanic is far less useful in Deathwatch, especially for combat situation. However, I force my Astartes (nope, Marines wear green fatigues - even RMC and...

    FFG Warhammer 40,000 RPG

Anything from 40K is distinctly tied to an investment in, and relationship with, the fluff. It REALLY is the best part of the game. FFG's rules are functional, but certainly nothing ground breaking or unique. Virtually any of the "major" systems could be used just as well. I'd have liked to...

Have you bought a third-party product in the last year?

I buy a lot of third party Pathfinder Stuff, but for OGL games and their descendants, that's about the extent of third party stuff I buy. Frankly, pretty much everything else I buy is Indie stuff or FFG 40K stuff.

    FFG Warhammer 40,000 RPG

I admit it. I fell in love with the universe of Warhammer 40,000 in 1987 when I bought the first edition of Rogue Trader. Since then I've had a love-hate relationship with Games Workshop. 40K is the second worst set of rules I've ever encountered. As a veteran everything about what GW doesn't...

I do a lot of international shipping for two book publishers (any Sherlockians out there?) and 2 1/2 pounds shipped to Germany from Indiana, just today was $27.85. A single DVD to England was $9.85. $30 international shipping won't actually cover their costs if the weight is over about 3 pounds...

Gah! Kickstarter, give me back my wallet! Every time I turn around, I've backed something that looks promising, and "Lo! and Behold!" there's something I already have an interest in that slipped past. Thanks for drawing my attention to this. Eclipse Phase is another one that almost slipped...
