    D&D 4E 200 Words or Less: Pitch WotC a New 4e Setting

Adding to Dice4Hire's comment, Eberron hasn't changed much, either. Dragonborn have been added to Q'barra and Argonessen, and some Eladrin feyspires can now be found in remote locations thanks to the Mourning; all in keeping with Eberron's tone and flavor. One or two planes have been changed...

I love 4e, for it's awesome and it brought me back into the hobby. Now Real Life should stop getting in the Way; I long to DM and yearn to Play! From the Mourning's Wizard To Aeren's Champion of Old And the Gifted One With his Dragon Soul; To explore the Mysteries of Ages Past, To stand...

    August 2012--Menzoberranzan: City of Intrigue

Good catch. This ties in nicely with the Vaults of the Underdark map pack, the Urban Underdark tiles, and the Dungeon Survival Handbook. I doubt that it's the new, as in never-seen-before, campaign setting that the fans are expecting. There was a Menzoberranzan boxed set in 2E, so it's not...

    1890 ship speeds?

The Encyclopedia of Ships lists steam-powered passenger ships with cruising speeds of 11-19 knots (approximately 12.5-22 miles per hour). One top-tier example is the White Star Line's Teutonic, built in 1889 for 300 passengers, with a cruising speed of 19 knots.

    Red Box discontinued......Smart Move?

Yup. There was a limited print run with the Elmore cover first, and subsequent printings were to use the same cover art as the Rules Compendium.

    Witch preview is up

True. The Red Box is a transitional product in more ways than one, it seems. I wonder if the other transmutation spell, Stone Blood, sees a reprint in HotFw.

    Witch preview is up

Foe to Frog used to be a level 1 Daily called Slimy Transmutation (from the Red Box). I'll keep the old version, TYVM. :)

The Red Box has magic item cards. Maybe these treasure cards are for unique items.

Where are you buying Mordenkainen's Magnificient Emporium?

Has anyone in Germany been able to buy MME here? My favorite online retailers (one of which is a B&M store running Encounters) don't have it yet, and they haven't received any copies of the Neverwinter CS, either.

The One Ring - Cubicle 7

I'm aware of that. The setup we used was a conscious decision on my part to get a feel for what a starting fellowship can handle under fair and rested circumstances. I was basically looking to establish a set of guidelines for the Loremaster that the book sadly lacks. One of Cubicle 7's...

The One Ring - Cubicle 7

I got to test the TOR combat system with my group last weekend, and combats are pretty fast in my experience once you've grokked the rules (in our case: after the first combat). Off the top of my head, the order of combat goes like this (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong): - The...

Has there ever been an Ultima tabletop rpg?

There's a conversion of Ultima IV for 3.5e with modified classes. I don't know about the quality of the conversion, but I think it's worth a look for Ultima fans. I prefer the setting and feel of Ultima V. It's my favorite CRPG from the C64 era.

What are you playing at the moment?

My current character is Berend d'Cannith, a human wizard with the Tome of Readiness implement mastery and the Fading One line of boons. He is built as a controller with several cold spells (but no frostcheese) and just hit level 7. (Hellooo, Twist of Space! :D) He's fun to play, both...

Magic The Gathering World in Fantasy RPG

Zendikar (together with the Worldwake and Rise of the Eldrazi expansions for an epic campaign). It fits D&D like a glove, and it's got awesome environments and artwork. It's basically a giant sandbox for dungeon crawls with unsolved mysteries all over the place. Also, the plane itself is trying...
