    D&D 5E The Lichway - IC Thread

Nissa glances up from the stone work she was studying long enough to remark, "Plunder is such a vulgar word. I can't speak for everyone here but I intend to preserve as much as I can before further tectonic events cause us to lose this archaeological treasure forever. I consider it a sacred...

That would probably work well. That way we can have 3 people in the front half ready to receive a bless spell wothout shuffling around too much

Sounds like a plan. We have 2 rogues, can one of them pick locks?

    D&D 5E The Lichway - IC Thread

Nissa looks up to Ren as she replies. "Correct on all accounts. I had a feeling the stonework here would pique your interest." Nissa then crosses the plank to stand upon the weathered stone walkway. The sudden flare of light causes her to squint for a moment before she speaks again. "A...

    D&D 5E The Lichway - IC Thread

Nissa stands, slowly walking toward the bow of the ship. Her wide eyes gaze in wonder as she takes in the sight of the three ancient towers. She takes a moment to adjust her armor and weapons, before responding to the Captain. "My thanks for the safe voyage Captain. The objectives of our...

D&D 5E playtest 18th level PC vs town...lFqW reborn... or not

I would just fly around casting my spells, then shapechange into something nasty (that can also fly preferably) and tear into people when I ran out. Or do the reverse.

Yeah it looks that way. A fight against numerous low hp enemies is always going to be skewed toward someone with AOE capabilities however, so you need to factor that in. A fighter making all of his attacks plus an extra attack from a bonus action (especially with power attack and a bless spell...

Which of course says a lot about full casters compared to martials. I honestly don't think they will ever be able to directly compete with the utility full spellcasters bring.

I dunno. I think if that wizard had shapechange, or meteor swarm, along with fly and some summoning spells he wouldnt even need the other party members to take out the town.

Makes sense to me. It sounds like the Wizard had a pretty gimped spell selection IMO. It sounds like the DM hates "must haves" but, things gain that status for a reason. Not everything is perfectly balanced, you can't just pick random spells or all blaster spells, or all utility spells and be...

I read it a blog page that was analyzing the poison rules. I cant seem to find it either, so I must be wrong.

D&D 5E Advice (and Help) Needed for a High Level 5E One Shot

I like to challenge parties by throwing a mix of creature roles at them. A few ranged guys and spellcasters, along with a few big gribblies and lots of little ones. It gives everyone a place to shine, and keeps combats from just being about alpha striking the big guy. Bounded accuracy in 5e...

    D&D 5E DMG Preview: POISONS!

Harvestable poisons take 1d6 minutes with a corpse. I imagine this is going to be the primary source that players have access to.

Also worth noting, once you save against a particular poison you are immune to it for 24 hours.
