    Problem player in my group

If you let it run on it might get to the point where your gaming group doesn't enjoy getting together anymore because that person in particular kills the experience for the players. My gaming group suffered from it. RPG Divas really don't help in a group based game. Maybe you should try talking...

How frequent are dragon encounters in your game?

Too many and they get boring, so naturally I don't place too many. I think they could have a good place in a campaign, but can make a storyline cheesy SO fast.

Who's on first? (Forked Thread: [WotC_Logan] Why is Tiamat Huge?)

It would've been cool if tiamat could be a ginormous figure, but then again I don't see why you can't just improvise (changing the rules to fit your game is half of the appeal, isn't it?) BIG FREAKIN EDIT!!!: Oh, forgot um, I think game comes before miniatures, but if miniatures supplement the...

    Dragonkard... what do you think?

Yeah but what if it's like, a charizard or something <_< I cannot afford, though the concept looks kinda cool

    [WotC_Logan] Why is Tiamat Huge?

I'll probably end up doing this, using something like this as a miniature

    [WotC_Logan] Why is Tiamat Huge?

Kinda sucks, but at the same time I can't afford gargantuan at the moment anyways :/

    My growing miniature addiction/collection

I generally use Minis to play WarMachine, fun stuff but expensive, so I can't collect as much as I'd like to at times :/

    Dealing with trouble players?

hmm. I suppose anything I try will make me invariably the bad guy, unless I put the blame on the group, but that's not something I'm going to do. I guess I'm just going to have to say it, but the problem is doing it in a way he'll actually listen to. I know how I can, but I don't want to be too...

If D&D did not have HPs, how would you keep track of damage?

I like the HP system, just because it's straightforward. And though the game itself doesn't generally think there's a difference between 20 and 1, the lower the player's HP, the less gung-ho they become. So it definitely has an effect even if the rules don't state it.

    Dealing with trouble players?

How'd you go about doing this? Because I don't really want to tell him that the group is tired of him, otherwise he'll come after them, and I want to keep the rest of the group out of it (but at the same time, I don't want to look like the bad guy)

The New 4th Edition God-Killing Rules

Freakin sweet. It's a shame I don't have the same sort of money I used to, or I would definitely buy this book.

    Dealing with trouble players?

I might have to go with this. I understand Loonook's advice, but I don't think it would work in a good manner, as he's the kind of person that would just assume there's something wrong with everyone else. He'd find someone to ally with (I know a few people who probably wouldn't side against him...

    Dealing with trouble players?

A little more than half of these characterize what is the "problem player" He refuses to go away because friends are supposed to be stuck together until they die, which sucks because he's not exactly the kind of person I can spend more than a few hours with. He doesn't respond well to...

When playing D&D I use battlemats...

Is it possible to have a good RP while using a battlemat? Because I think so. You just have to be more creative with your dungeons (and with visual representations helps people know who's doing what, instead of keeping track of it all in your head)

    Dealing with trouble players?

Oh god this would be funnier than hell! But, I DM and if I killed his character he'd just complain till he can rez it, or make a new one. What really pisses me off is that I'll be storytelling (what DM's normally do) and after spending hours writing and editing a good storyline for next weeks...

    Dealing with trouble players?

I forgot to say that the people who really want to play this game find the behavior annoying. And what's left of the problem players is one person, since the others were relatively easy to deal with (surprisingly, some people actually can listen to what you have to say). I'm not looking for a...

    Dealing with trouble players?

14-19 somehow, the 14 year old is no longer the problem player (though he was very immature earlier) It's just that I'd like to find an alternative to kicking him out of the group, though right now it seems to be the only likely option

    Dealing with trouble players?

First off I'd like to say hi, I've lurked the site for some time but haven't joined till recently, so (omg) this is my first post. Anyhow, I've been reading a lot of the threads on this site and for the most part I must say that I'm rather jealous. A good deal of the people here seem to have...
