This sounds good. Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war!

D&D 5E The Rhyot Break (OOC) - Discussion

Way I see it, Gimlak and Zemryn can take those extra short swords and wield two weapons for a bit. She wouldn't mind some boots, either. I believe she already has some leather armor that she is using for a makeshift pack. We can shove a bunch of the other stuff in the leather backpack.

Sorry to hear about that, friend. It's always something! So who's up in the story?

D&D 5E The Rhyot Break - Chapter One: Endless White

Zemryn smiled in the dark as the Korrud fell to the ground. They might escape with their lives after all! Watching Gimlak chop an arm free and toss it to a wolf, she grimaced slightly. Leaving an enemy to be eaten by wolves or carrion birds was not out of the edicts of Atemi, but butchering a...

D&D 5E The Rhyot Break (OOC) - Discussion

Damn, Gimlak. You are a barbarian's barbarian. I think, for Zemryn, this might be too far. Atemi is a goddess of battle, but an honorable one. Killing an enemy, even brutally, is one thing, but chopping them up for animal kibble probably won't work for her. I like the idea though, don't get me...

D&D 5E The Rhyot Break (OOC) - Discussion

Ambush sounds good to me. Ring it up. And I could see Zemryn with two scimitars.

I was hoping Zemryn could give Gimlak advantage by helping him. No dice?

D&D 5E The Rhyot Break - Chapter One: Endless White

For Zemryn, the immediate threat was not the lone wolf, struggling forward with a sled meant to be carried by two. No, the threat was the remaining Korrud. Of course, she was biased. She despised the Korrud. Any excuse to attack one was an excuse she was going to embrace. But the truth was...

D&D 5E The Rhyot Break - Chapter One: Endless White

Zemryn did not waste time celebrating the death of the Korrud, but instead leveled a bolt at the wolf, who seemed sorely wounded. To finish it off would leave them only one foe! But alas, a drift of snow from the tree above her fell on her arm as she fired. Were the very trees aligned with the...

D&D 5E The Rhyot Break - Chapter One: Endless White

Zemryn's breath burst out of her in white clouds of excited exertion. She rushed under the hanging boughs of the tree, knocking free a layer of snow around her as she slid to one knee and took aim. Bria, their rescuer, had now risked her life again, this time in battle with a hated Korrud...

Crap. How did I miss that Gimlak posted right before me? Oh well, looks like it's still good.

D&D 5E The Rhyot Break (OOC) - Discussion

Maybe with Zemryn guiding (helping?) Gimlak, they can have a better chance of reaching the Korrud before they are attacked. And they have a mobile weapons platform in Faenala! Not sure what Bria might do, but as far as Zemryn is concerned, she has already done her part.

D&D 5E The Rhyot Break - Chapter One: Endless White

Zemryn strove forward along with the others, her makeshift pack over her shoulder. "Bria. I am Zemryn, Servant of Atemi. You are surely sent by the goddess herself." She talked quietly, though the frigid wind was masking their noise well as it howled and hissed. The sound made Zemryn stop...

Zemryn behaved herself with that Korrud. Welcome in, Rolin.

D&D 5E The Rhyot Break - Chapter One: Endless White

Atemi! These corpses bring back memories! It has been too long... Zemryn, her frosty eyes serving her well in the dark, rushed forward to a Korrud corpse and took its head in her hands for a brief moment. A savage look crossed her face in the shadows and she lifted the oppressor's face towards...
