The D&D Movie Finds Its Director

The currant climate is to shoot for franchises. A stinker is just as likely as a relitive hit. It will at least get studio support for the first film. I expect it will surpass most expectations solely because they are so low.

The D&D Movie Finds Its Director

The last GI Joe movie did star the Rock, just saying...a star like Vin is far from out of reach. We can hope! Minsk!

Watch Chris Perkins' First Episode of DICE, CAMERA, ACTION

Any DM considering running CoS can now watch a top notch storyteller handle this classic tale. Both enjoyable and informative it helps sell the flavor and content. I just finished this weeks episode and felt the players really held their focus and let their characters push the story forward in a...

Watch Chris Perkins' First Episode of DICE, CAMERA, ACTION

I don't think Wotc is trying to compete directly with CR- I think they are showcasing how YOU at home can do this too! Just like this! We can't all be voice actors in the same room. Watching Chris rangle cats while masterfully running CoS is the real treat. (For me)

The robot chicken episodes were close to perfect. More of that.

Watch Chris Perkins' First Episode of DICE, CAMERA, ACTION

It takes time to find a grove, at worst some players border chaotic good. Most outwardly have good intentions. I still have hope. Wizards could use a partnership with Geek and Sundry. 13 episodes with atmosphere, role players and focus.

Watch Chris Perkins' First Episode of DICE, CAMERA, ACTION

No, not even close to official number. Only what I recall from a very successful Kickstarter type promotion, 1.3 million for both tabletop and Titansgrave ($300 for top and million past to start Titansgrave ????)

Watch Chris Perkins' First Episode of DICE, CAMERA, ACTION

Titansgrave has a million dollar budget. Wotc has none that I'm aware of. That being said, if I was given the task of producing an actual play show, picking an enthusiastic experienced cast would be job one ( audio job two ). I'm not a fan of unfocused smart a**es at the table. Ever.

Watch Chris Perkins' First Episode of DICE, CAMERA, ACTION

I don't know why, but watching it "live" as it was happening helped the experience. Chris P is a true master and each player seemed to bring good intentions. I'm on board to see if new material pops up and to watch a weekly game lead by a level 23 DM. Can't wait for next week!

D&D 5E New Show From WOTC - Dice, Camera, Action!

I watched the postponed premier episode of Twitch live stream tonight and found it enjoyable. The game felt like a step by step retell of the original material, with all the expected beats and notes being hit. Master Perkins is nearly flawless in his handling of the players and materials. A...

Not using Grid / minis / pawns

Without a doubt Totm has become the fallback to all combats these days. Faster more creative and more often is the new norm. I'm a fan of a "set piece" model when I can put something together for a boss battle, but I'm the last DM to bring it out anymore. I don't miss grids when not used and...
