D&D 5E Is my half elf evoker's backstory too simple?

Of note, I'm specifically going for something that isn't too complex, but can be expanded on down the road. I was going with the idea of a half elf noble, raised in a family of elves. He's constantly dealing with feelings of inadequacy and looked at as being less than a full blooded elf...

Yes they can. The warlock combination is mentioned because it won’t take a whole 10 minutes to recharge your ward.

How do I find printable character sheets now?

Yeah, I definitely can't see the whole site from work then. I can't even find a download section. Thanks all!

How do I find printable character sheets now?

I used to be able to locate these pretty easily, but I'm having trouble now. IDK if it's because of site changes or if it's because I'm visiting this site from work and certain parts are blocked/restricted. If you really want to be a help, send me to a link for printable 5e character sheets. TIA

D&D 5E How do I optimize this character?

Awesome. I can’t thank you enough for breaking this down.

D&D 5E How do I optimize this character?

Are you suggesting that it’s never worth getting a +2 to hit? Even when willingly taking a -5 (a net +2 with a 20 DEX) to hit?

D&D 5E How do I optimize this character?

The only thing I can think of to make to power attack portion of sharpshooter worth is to multiclass that one level of fighter. As I detailed in my previous post, if I’m going to take sharpshooter, I’m going to get that archery fighting style.

D&D 5E How do I optimize this character?

Well, I’ve been using a longbow so far. I really like the idea of getting the sharpshooter feat at some point, but I’m pretty sure when I hit level 4, I’m getting elven accuracy first. It boosts my DEX to 18 and with my owl familiars flyby/help ability, I’m going to be able to use elven accuracy...

D&D 5E How do I optimize this character?

I’m playing an elf arcane trickster (monoclass so far) who is level 3 with the following stats (standard array): 8/17/14/14/12/10. Now, I can rearrange these if I wanted, but I think this is pretty optimal. The character is played as an archer who uses an owl familiar to pretty much always...

XGtE: are any of those flavor magic items any good?

I like the hat that lets you pull out minor critters. I’m playing a rogue/wizard and the dm let us choose one. I was tempted to get the hat that could be used as a focus. I thought that was awesome because you can do any wizard cantrip. They all seem situational, but you will need to be...

D&D 5E Yet Another Arcane Trickster / Bladesinger Thread: The Concentration Problem

I just have to say that I love this build idea. I had a similar flavor idea (we’re not hitting level20 though) for an upcoming campaign. All my theorycrafting went to a maximum of 3 levels in either BS or AT to create my “spell-thief” but now I think I might actually be better off mixing that...

    My proposed rogue/wizard

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Going primarily wizard, perhaps I’d be better served just getting 2 rogue levels.

    My proposed rogue/wizard

I plan on playing a rogue/wizard in an upcoming game. We use standard array for stats. I’m kind of excited about this character and I’d really like to hear if there’s anything I should change before the game starts. Eladrin (DMG) 8/16/13/16/10/12 Level 1: rogue 1 Level 2: wizard 1 Level 3...

Is using a familiar in combat to grant advantage a common tactic?

This has me literally drooling over the idea of my EB/controlling warlock. He starts as a fighter, then becomes a fiend chainlock, taking all the goodies that enhance EB. Wearing heavy armor, gaining temporary HP when he finishes an enemy (which will happen often with 1d10+CHA blasts), he’ll...

I stumbled upon an old fighter/ fiend bladelock guide. Does this really work?

It works without the darkness part, but if you really want to pull that trick, don’t be a dick and hinder your party. Save it for when your side is losing and needs to get away, or for when you’re alone. You’ll probably get more mileage out of polearm master and hex, since the hex damage is...

I don’t know how I never knew about this. ::Drool::

    Party face build

Another option is to go light foot halfling. This brings some luck into the picture, the stats aren’t quite as good, but it still looks like a real fun character. The drop off is that at level 6 when the half elf would have an 18 CHA and 14 WIS, where the halfling will always have 13 WIS.
