I just wanted to chime in and say how full of awesome this thread is. My home group had three 4e games going until I dropped mine to run SWSE, but this thread has inspired me to run more 4e. This is what the game is all about!

Yes. Also, 3.0 Haste effectively allowed a move action and a full attack, amongst other things. Was there an offical answer (from some WotC source) on why they nerfed it? Was it spellcasting or something else?

True, and if I were to run a game with these rules I would allow exactly that, or something along the lines of allowing the d20 Modern Strong Hero talent paths on the fighter dead levels.

Hello, What would be the impact of allowing a move action with a full attack? The Pounce feat allows this to happen in the surprise round or first round of the combat. Would it be too overpowering to allow as a per-encounter power?

Rangers and Paladins get Disciplines much like the Cleric, Druid and Wizard. Fighters get nothing. But Monte loves magic, so this is not surprising.

You beat me to it! But that's what I figured. With SWSE skills, they advance at a rate of 1/2 level. If you subtract 9 from the ice devil's stat bonuses, you get the 3E stat bonus values. So maybe it's level 18?

You know I never thought about that. Do you think that was WotC's intent partly, to use DDM as a gateway product?

Hello all, As a follow up to this thread, were you introduced to RPGs via Basic D&D or a basic version of an RPG?
