D&D 5E WotC's Jeremy Crawford on D&D Races Going Forward

I've never looked at Drow or Orcs and thought of them as representing our real world humans. I saw them as elves with dark skin ( but living underground always thought they should be albino like cave fish), or a monstrous creature from old fairy tales. Growing up I never heard of anyone...

D&D 5E WotC Confirms Horror-themed Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden

Already planning on running this. I will be picking up the variant cover also. A horror theme in the arctic wastes? Yes please!

Pathfinder 2E Here's What's Coming For Pathfinder Over The Coming Year

I miss your reviews of adventures. I don't need all the fancy high production values..... I would just enjoy listening to your reviews again.

Pathfinder 2E Here's What's Coming For Pathfinder Over The Coming Year

Is this the same Steel wind that used to do the Pathfinder Chronicles Podcast for PF1 adventures?

Pathfinder 2E Release Day Second Edition Amazon Sales Rank

You know, now that I think about it, my running home brew stuff back then had more to do with my age and being broke than by choice. I remember seeing the modules and wishing I could buy them. Wondering what story was inside the covers. Now that I am grown up, I buy them and run them because I...

Pathfinder 2E Release Day Second Edition Amazon Sales Rank

I think Paizo relies alot on their adventure path sales. Not so much the stand alone adventure modules(which I've always preferred). I used to play exclusively homebrew with BECMI and AD&D. Lately I prefer canned adventures because I enjoy bringing them to life and seeing how the players react...

What are PF2 groups playing? Adventure paths? A module (Fall of plaguestone, idk if they released anymore after that one)? Home brew? Converted stuff?

I was hoping to see how many games of PF2 were going to be scheduled for my local gaming convention this year but that got put on hold for now. I use that convention like a thermometer to see how hot or cold a product is doing. Both in game slots available and promotions of the products with the...

Critical Role The New D&D Book Is 'The Explorer's Guide to [Critical Role's] Wildemount!' By Matt Mercer

It is valid. But it's not as useful to a segment of the player base when it's not supported by AL.

Critical Role The New D&D Book Is 'The Explorer's Guide to [Critical Role's] Wildemount!' By Matt Mercer

In my circles we do alot of AL play, and besides Eberron most of these settings books are not AL legal. Which means it isn't as useful. People still buy them but they don't really get used.

    First Druid

My suggestions: Race: Variant human. Take resilient con for the feat. This gives you a proficiency in con saves and as a land druid you will rely on many concentration spells so it is very helpful to have this feat right off the bat. Circle: Arctic is my recommendation and here is why. Many of...

At my local B&N store during the Christmas holiday they had a huge 5E D&D table spread set out as you walked into the store with all the current books, box sets, terrain, portfolios, dice, dice bags, and miniatures displayed. The actual RPG section is upstairs near the comics and fantasy...

    D&D 5E Surprising character builds.

Mine is a half-elf swashbuckler/battlemaster. Now I recognize that particular combination is a popular build but it was the roleplay side that just grew on it's own. You see, he was originally going to be Tabaxi but according to AL players handbook +1 rules it wasn't allowed. So I made him a...

    D&D 5E Are Barbarian’s “Meh”

I love my Ancestral guardian barbarian. He is a member of the Order of the Gauntlet and loves to brag about it and his exploits. I enjoy causing disadvantage on my opponents if they attack allies, using my reaction to prevent damage on my allies, and even causing the prevented damage to reflect...

CHALLENGE: Describe your character using only three details. (You get the usual race/class/gender for free.)

Leonidas el Rey Half-elf, male, swashbuckler/battlemaster 1. Deceptive (Charlatan background, no one knows he is a half-elf except the DM. Uses hat of disguise to pretend to be a tabaxi or infiltrate places he is not supposed to be in). 2. Self assured (He is the greatest swordsman who ever...
