Basically, I agree the psionics dones't fit with my idea of swords and sorcery. That said, the current incarnation has a better feel to it than the standard fire and forget spell mechanism for magic. I'm tempted to run with psionics replacing magic - and just calling it , er, magic! Either way...

give 'em a level (or three) of rogue and let their summoned creatures be automatic flanking partners. And don't forget to trample them into mulch with a controlled/allied evil treant! Big tramples are top fun - especially in a corridor.

It supprises me that people will pay for stuff like this. I have used a couple of the web based maps for some adventures I have put together, but personally I would not part with hard earned cash for generic maps. Different strokes I guess. Wig

I once had a spreadsheet where you could search the monsters by environment (amongst other things) e.g. Show me all the stuff that hangs about in deserts etc. Sadly it has gone to the big reformatted drive in the sky. Anyone know what/where this is?

For me, the major selling point I'd look for in any product like this would be to keep it in one book. Basically a D20 rules cyclopedia. If I wanted to play a "simple game" (which sometimes I think I might), a big part of the appeal would be avoiding the hassel of carting a dozen books round...
