    Yet another Swashbuckler PrC

Howdy. This Swashbuckler prestige class shares some features with some of the other custom Swashbuckler PrCs and core classes that have been posted on this forum. The two main things that set it apart are that it's meant to be a PrC for Rogues, not Fighters (unlike the Duelist PrC), and...

    strange question--google problems?

Well, when I try to go to google.com, or google.ca, or any version of the google site, I get rerouted to a weird page entitled cPanel, which says "There is no website configured at this address." I've had this problem for a few days now.

    [October] What Are You Reading?

I just finished American Gods. I haven't been this entranced by a book since... since... hell, I can't even remember. And I started reading Ship of Magic, by Robin Hobbs. I didn't like Assassin's Apprentice too much, but SoM's combination of pirates and magic looked too good to resist.

Whooo hoo hoo hoo hoooooo! I love this new drawing! Not exactly how I imagined Ortwin, but it's still awesome. "You don't mind if I call you Ruru, do you?" :D

[PC Game] Temple of Elemental Evil goes GOLD! Now with chat transcript!

Gamespy has already reviewed ToEE. It's pretty much what I expected: good combat, shallow story. What's more disturbing is the mention of occasionally poor AI and controls. http://www.gamespy.com/reviews/september03/toeepc/

What is a Rogue to do in an undead-heavy campaign?

Thanks Old One. That's not a bad idea, and it would fit my character quite well. There are a couple of things that puzzle me about the Cartwheel Charge ability, however. The ability description states that "By somersaulting and cartwheeling in a straight line toward a foe 10 feet or more...

What is a Rogue to do in an undead-heavy campaign?

I know, I know, I was just kidding, hence the . Old One and a few others mentioned traps. I have and will continue to put points in Disable Device and Search, but where can I find rules regarding the making of traps, especially the kind of traps I could carry around in a dungeon?

What is a Rogue to do in an undead-heavy campaign?

All right, thanks. Hehe, don't worry, we have a cleric and a sorcerer too. What I meant is that our group already has plenty of melee-oriented characters. Mwahahaha. Since my native tongue is French, that shouldn't be too difficult. :p But aren't undead creatures immune to morale and...

What is a Rogue to do in an undead-heavy campaign?

Thank you all for the useful advice. Taking levels of Ranger is, unfortunately, not compatible with my character concept. I had always intended to take a few levels of fighter, and maybe duelist too (although now that I think about it, Precise Strike doesn't work on undead, so that might not...

What is a Rogue to do in an undead-heavy campaign?

I'm sure this has been discussed many times, but that's what happens when a message board doesn't have a search function. I recently joined a 3rd edition campaign that's going to be played in a homebrew world that the DM spent three years creating. Since the last two characters I played were a...

For a Rogue, when is feinting better than getting 2 attacks?

Why would IF grant a +4 bonus to the bluff check?

    D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Specialist wizards...

My group will be sticking to 3.0 rules for wizard specialization, if only because our wizard is an Illusionist who picked Evocation as his prohibited school for the sole reason that he didn't want to play an "artillery mage", as he calls them. With 3.5 ed., he would have to either pick Evocation...

Yeah, that WAS a bit undignified for a wizard of his status. :D Mostin should really keep a few scrolls handy. An extra Teleport is always useful.

    Where're the Sepulchrave Story Hours?

The links to every Wyre thread except Rape of Morne II were posted by Sepulchrave at the end of his first post in the last thread, Soneillon. Rape of Morne II can be found here. Have fun.

    Is your group multiclassing?

    2 out of 5 Paladin 11 Wizard 5 / Alienist 6 Rogue 3 / Fighter 4 / Duelist 4 Druid 11 Mindshadow 11 (altered version of Destil's homebrew core class)

S... sw... sweeeeet. Thank you Sepulchrave. Shomei is by far my favorite Wyre NPC. There is one thing that puzzles me, however. When she called (or gated?) Titivilus for the last time, I seem to recall that she triggered her Chain Contingency to cast three spells to prepare herself: Haste...

    Please rate Sculpt Spell

I doubt there are rules for that, but I'd say that a Sculpted Antilife Shell in the shape of a cone, for instance, would be a normal 40-foot cone starting from the caster and including him in the spell's area. That would prevent spells like Antimagic Field from being too powerful. As for the 4...

Is it inherently evil to summon up a demon?

Voadam is absolutely right. According to the standard D&D rules, yes. According to most people's common sense, no.

Which method do you use to determine ability scores?

82 points distributed on a 1 for 1 basis, except for 17 and 18, which require 2 points each. So a player would have to spend 20 points to have an 18.

    Please rate Sculpt Spell

Thank you all for the great ideas! The shape that intrigues me the most is the four 10-foot cubes. There are many situations in combat where it's impossible not to hit your own allies with area spells. In situations like that four small cubes hitting four distinct enemies for 10d6 each can be...
