    Free to choose?

For a long time, I'd play at any cost. However, with the internet I can find a group of people to play with online. I've been in to many really bad sit down games to settle for less, so I'd rather spend the time to find a good online group. Yeah, you lose a big something when you play online...

    D&D 3E/3.5 Finally switching to 3.5...

As stated, some spells are going to be the big things you find yourself falling back on. Rangers not getting TWF at first level is another. Weapon sizes and magic item prices and powers.

DMs Help ME Sorcerer Just Picked Contingency!

Then the problem arrises... what exactly qualifies for an attack? Someone trying to grab him to pull him from a pit trap? *poof! You can't see him now, you have a 50% chance of missing trying to save him* Someone tossing him a potion? How about if a guard tries to frisk him for weapons? Or...

    Adamantite Shields & Weapons

Tower shields can't be made of adamantite, there's not enough metal there to be effected by it. Tower shields are made of wood by default, to make one fully out of metal would make it a lot heavier than the stats in the book.

Is it just me or do any of you think Speed Factor on weapons should be brought back?

This has been discussed to death. Weapon speeds are just another complication that 90% of groups in 2ed ed ignored with glee.

    Monte on covers

For those who don't recall the GURPS cover in question... And UA.. They are similar.

    Which do you prefer

Is it just me, or does "magic user" sound so dorky?

    Regarding Reach...

Only if that 5 foot step was the -only- movement in the round.

    Monte on covers

Yep, I got that book. It really does look a ton like the AU cover.

Does being blinded affect your reflex saves?

Most certainly. I actually would perfer to leave the save unchanged, as per the rules, but if he WANTS to see a penalty on blinded reflex checks, I think the most sensible thing would to have him lose his dex bonus modifier to it.

Rap and Hip-Hop at the game table?

It's a Clearchannel station, it's one of those rotten stations that plays the same crappy 6 songs every hour.

Rap and Hip-Hop at the game table?

I wasn't bashing just alternative. That, cRap, hip-hop, pop, heavy metal, J-pop... all that music sets a really raw tone to play a game by. Music effects people, weither they realize it or not, and it shows in their playstyle.

    Monte on covers

LOL, come to think of it, you're right. They are a lot alike.

What's the object of the game?

Bah, I'm gay, wouldn't know the difference between a winch and wench anyhow.

    Are DMs better players?

I've played with 4 people I can recall who almost always DM over playing. However, of those 4, 3 made some of the worst players I had ever seen, and the 4th was nothing special. The first three were all pretty similar, they figured they knew the rules better than their DM, tried to hog the...

    Epic Magic Missile

You could try adapting Greater Misslde Swarm from Neverwinter Nights (if it's not anywhere else). It's not epic, but it's a Missle Spam spell that's greatly effective.

Does being blinded affect your reflex saves?

I'd actually would perfer to say he either loses his dex bonus to it, or is treated as having a dex of 0 if you really want to be mean.

What's the object of the game?

Don't forget the whores and the serving winches. This was before evil drow sorcereresses, mind you.

    [Planescape] Adventures for 7th-level characters?

Unless you really cheese out and go easy on the players (like a lot of the low level Planescape adventures do), the planes are a pretty dangerous place to adventure. Even the Planescape boxed set recommended the players stick to Sigil till well beyond 7th level.
