Dragon Category? I'll be much abliged!

Ultimate ones. (It can also mean "ones decided upon", but I doubt anyone will use it in Modern Hebrew in such meaning. Did you give it to your friend out of context?)

Dragon Category? I'll be much abliged!

The word Muhlat means "Ultimate". The root does mean "decide", but I am not sure what form your friend meant.

Dragon Category? I'll be much abliged!

The problem with Solar System sized is that at any respectable density, such a body is a black hole by definition (less than a billion km across for water). Hence the double composition of my Fate Dragons' eggshell (and their bodies, actually) - mass and negative mass which cancel each other...

Dragon Category? I'll be much abliged!

Just as a quick note, I intended the Muhlatimic Dragons to be in the Omnific range. It's the Transcendental class which is missing.

Immortals Handbook - Grimoire (Artifacts, Epic Magic discussion)

Well, this is a blood spell. Difficult to say. There was no sign of such creatures. However, it might. You see, the basic structure of the magic there is: 1) Almost all magic in the world of living can only trandform and create (Additive). 2) Another type of magic exists, which can undo and...

Immortals Handbook - Grimoire (Artifacts, Epic Magic discussion)

Actually, the wizard who entered and could barely act was near epic (he did regain much of his power when the master of the palace died). It should be noted that some disturbance made it impossible for wizards to use epic magic (what passed for it) unless they made a pact with the Devil. Also...

Immortals Handbook - Grimoire (Artifacts, Epic Magic discussion)

That palace was standing for something like 3000 years. BTW, there was another palace there. It was connected to some other dimensions, where time had no meaning. As a result, the aging of people inside it slowed (the effect seemed to be lingering for a day or so, at least the people spending...

Immortals Handbook - Grimoire (Artifacts, Epic Magic discussion)

You know, I remembered a certain magical trick from Terry Goodkind's books. I wonder how it will work in the RPG system. A certain wizard family wanted a large and stable rune spell which will augment their family's power as long as they were inside its borders, and weaken the enemy's magic...

    Crushing Coal into Diamonds???

Well, about the diamond: 1) you need a pressure of 100 000 atm, and a vessel to withstand it. 2) you need a high temperature (2000-3000 degrees). 3) you need to dissolve the carbon or get it liquid another way. 4) you need to somehow ensure a large crystal grows (maybe a small diamond put...

Immortals Handbook - Grimoire (Artifacts, Epic Magic discussion)

I mean that whatever damage hits you, with a double size of a fireball and the same composition, it will be eight times the energy, but double the distance means only a four times reduction in power. BTW, are you familiar with this? (d20 Modern) - 1001 Sci-Fi Weapons

Immortals Handbook - Grimoire (Artifacts, Epic Magic discussion)

Well, this Wikipedia page gives the temperature inside a supernova as 10 billion K, while the temperature in the heart of a H-bomb explosion is, if I remember correctly, 400 million K. So I don't think energy and temperature follow each other that much. But a 64 increase in power = double the...

Immortals Handbook - Grimoire (Artifacts, Epic Magic discussion)

BTW, there is one point about the Kiloton class spells. It is supposed to reflect nuclear weapons. If you will increase the amount of nuclear fuel thousandfold, you will not get a thousandfold increase in temperature, no more than with ordinary fire. You will NEVER get a Big Bang with hydrogen.

Immortals Handbook - Grimoire (Artifacts, Epic Magic discussion)

Well, the heat is the one given for when the entire energy is more or less concentrated in one place, ond not when it expands in an explosion. But I agree, the damage is off. A not too large asteroid's hit can deal more.

    Immortals Handbook - Godsend

Sooner or later, you will also have to take into account that the creature can implode under its own gravity as well (or even be/become a black hole) - hence my own little trick with the dragon eggshell composition.
