Finland to pay all its citizens 800 euros a month to fight unemployment

Actually yes you do need to be highly intelligent to be a nurse or an emt, you not only need to be intelligent you need to be able to cope with high stakes, high stress, situations where people's lives are literally on the line, and you often need to do it while being under rested and under paid...

Finland to pay all its citizens 800 euros a month to fight unemployment

You get that some people can't learn an advanced skill right? Like we try to sugar coat it, and say people can do whatever they put their minds to, but that's some touchy feely BS you say to kids to try and motivate them to have aspirations. In reality though some people just aren't as useful...

    D&D 5E Pulling your punches

Hence the use of massive damage rules. Walk up, bonk on head do massive damage, and rather than kill via massive damage just knock out via massive damage. D&D has specifically always been bad at modeling this kind of interaction because if you can do it you'd always do it to start every fight...

    D&D 5E Pulling your punches

I'm pretty sure players are always allowed to make the last hit lethal or a knockout blow. Matching that with the massive damage rules should work.

D&D 5E Not liking Bounded Accuracy

Let's dive into this simple statement. How can you change a rule that didn't yet exist? That's called creating rules, not changing rules. At best you are home brewing there.

D&D 5E Not liking Bounded Accuracy

Rarely if ever are we in the exact same set of circumstances, hence the same adjudication may not be necessary or proper for similar situations. Also. Feel free to bounce up off my table. I'm here to have fun, and if rules, or a rules lawyer are getting in the way of that I have no time for...

D&D 5E Not liking Bounded Accuracy

No it doesn't, adjudicating is saying how it will work for this instance. In not making a hard and fast house ruling on all further functions of a similar type within the game. I've made a house ruling in my game that I will use the roll for proficiency bonus instead of the flat bonus...

    Pogre's Blank Dungeon Maps

Nice! If there is one thing I like it's pre made maps with little description. Drawing maps is a skill I'm still shoddy on so having other people's maps to work with and adapt to my game is awesome.

    What Are Your Unique Items?

Consider this idea Stolen. I have an abjuration mage in my game he's going to at least learn about these things.

Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana: That Old Black Magic

Yeah these spells should be on the warlock list no question. The only pact they make little sense for use with is the fey pact. The fiend pact covers demons (I'd think about subbing in these spells for the bonus spells of my player is planning on his fiend being a demon of some kind), and the...

“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”

Or can't stand up to the pressures of the current workforce (because we live in a world of damn near unreasonable expectations). They have all the knowledge and training and can do the work, but can't do it quickly enough, and just don't meet the performance standards demanded at their level of...

“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”

You see a point where people should stop being helped, because they are a leech on resources. In hat case you'd cut aid and leave them to fend for themselves even if they can't. You are essentially setting them up for starvation (assuming they don't just commit a crime and end up in prison)...

“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”

There's still a margin in there where you are essentially totally fine with putting a gun to someone's head and pulling the trigger. You just use the guns of dehydration and starvation, because you'd rather they die slow and undignified. All because you deem them unworthy of help.

“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”

The thing to show for it is a living human being where a twisted and starved corpse would be. How that isn't enough to anyone makes no freaking sense to me

WotC's Chris Perkins Talks About... Everything! Upcoming Storylines, Products, Staffing, Other World

Yeah pretty much. Ford had a ton of money and a product line that does so well that it can provide the profits to cover the losses of the other product line. WotC doesn't have that luxury because of how Hasbro silo's the products. MtG money is MtG money. D&D money is D&D money, and never the...

WotC's Chris Perkins Talks About... Everything! Upcoming Storylines, Products, Staffing, Other World

When we are talking about sitting in an IP I mean not producing any new content and letting the existing content continue to make you money. Licensing out the D&D cartoon for streaming would be lucrative as it's literally a payment and they do nothing but show off your product. Licensing the...

WotC's Chris Perkins Talks About... Everything! Upcoming Storylines, Products, Staffing, Other World

So a failing company. You can't make D&D and just skim for small releases. You have to be ready to pony up for large scale printings that may not pay off entirely for a year or two. That's the only way to meet demand, and again you are still going to damage your career either way. Anyone...

WotC's Chris Perkins Talks About... Everything! Upcoming Storylines, Products, Staffing, Other World

Yeah but whoever does own the rights could be making money off of it by licensing it out to Netflix the why they haven't is still a valid question it just isn't a question for them. D&D might not be a billion dollar license but it is certainly at least a million dollar one, and no small...
