WotC's Chris Perkins Talks About... Everything! Upcoming Storylines, Products, Staffing, Other World

Someone didn't read the whole post, I address that in the middle where I say: "Unfortunately no small time publisher can actually handle the cost of the license and therefore effectively I'm not going to license it because it would be a terrible business decision for me to do so." Yes sitting...

WotC's Chris Perkins Talks About... Everything! Upcoming Storylines, Products, Staffing, Other World

Didn't say I wouldn't license it out I just said I'd never license it for a price anyone is capable of paying up front. See the problem with licensing it out is I make you pay for the license, but if you take that license, and run with it, and somehow turn it into a million dollar industry I...

WotC's Chris Perkins Talks About... Everything! Upcoming Storylines, Products, Staffing, Other World

I'm just going off what I'd do if I owned the IP. I'm unaware if this has actually been said by anyone officially. I just know I wouldn't let go of the D&D label for a long time.

WotC's Chris Perkins Talks About... Everything! Upcoming Storylines, Products, Staffing, Other World

You can apply agile development to pretty much any type of development: software, hardware, game, doesn't really matter what it is, if there is a development cycle it can be made an agile development environment.

    What Are Your Unique Items?

Might want to rethink the name, heartstone is an actual item already, they come from night hags and a reference to them can be found in the mm

Hasbro will never let D&D off the chain, or they won't ever offer it for a reasonable licencing fee. Look at it like this, 1 they have a ton of old product up on drive through RPG for PDF, and they can keep selling that with pretty much no investment. 2 they have the licensing back for movies...

WotC's Chris Perkins Talks About... Everything! Upcoming Storylines, Products, Staffing, Other World

I wouldn't bet on them not shelving it. Especially if it just keeps losing them money. No way they keep the product line going if iy becomes a massive drain on resources. That's why they don't have a giant D&D budget, they probably got some start up capital for getting 5e going and are...

WotC's Chris Perkins Talks About... Everything! Upcoming Storylines, Products, Staffing, Other World

No they don't tell us anything because that's the development model they are using. They are using an iterative design process that doesn't allow for totally set in stone release dates, and therefore they can't tell us what the release dates are because they don't know the release date until...

WotC's Chris Perkins Talks About... Everything! Upcoming Storylines, Products, Staffing, Other World

I too think they switched over to an agile development schedule. Which isn't bad. It's a different way of going about collaborative writing, but it does seem like they are working on some kind of iterative design schedule. The thing about agile development though is that you can't give...

D&D 5E Warlock and Repelling Blast

Lars is using an inaccurate trick sitting method that hinges on underweight bows that couldn't kill as well as hoped, he's a good trick shooter but that doesn't actually help with real combat. Though his via can help with a slight suspension of disbelief.

    Searching for a module...

I'm going to bump this because I'm interested to know the adventure as it closely relates to what I want to do with my game. Do you remember what level this adventure was at? If I had to think of a member that would know this it would be zardinar.

I don't even own any of them yet and I'm definitely getting something out of them. My DM has adapted the rise of tiamat storyline to his own setting and I'm playing that (we finished the hoard of the dragon queen and will move on at some point when that game gets back from hiatus). However...

    What Are Your Unique Items?

For my current game I've given one of the characters an intelligent artifact. It is a mostly nondescript dagger. It is the blade upon which his pact of the blade is sworn. It has a number of capabilities that he unlocks as he completes certain milestones (for instance the first time the...

I was responding to the latter half of his post I'll amend my quote of him to make that more clear.

    Christian Persecution vs Persecuted Christians

By that reasoning that makes every single kill scored by any soldier, as part of the war on terror, from 2001 till today, including the kill on Osama bin laden, a murder that should be punished by due process.

    Christian Persecution vs Persecuted Christians

No they overwhelmingly involve people that the police say were threatening them. They are still American civilians killed by the government. Any American citizen killed from a drone strike in our enemy's facilities because they've joined the enemy's side is well within the bounds of killing...

    Christian Persecution vs Persecuted Christians

Bowling leagues entirely collect taxes, engage in trade and establish laws. Dues, jersey's, and bylaws, that's how being in a league works. Engineering firms actually do a lot of the same things. By your definitions large corporations are sovriegn states, which they currently are not.

D&D 5E Do Classes Have Concrete Meaning In Your Game?

In my campaigns the classes do have somewhat concrete meanings. A wizard is a wizard, and the way they do magic differs from how a warlock or a sorc uses magic. A cleric is a cleric and how they work and what they do is known at least to some. The different types of rogue are what they are a...

    Christian Persecution vs Persecuted Christians

Thus acquiescing to the sovereignty, and not all the countries around them are acquiescing, and as far as I know no super powers are actually treating them as a sovereign state. They are treating them as an insurgent force within existing states. No one's sending diplomats to isis, no one's...

    Christian Persecution vs Persecuted Christians

Sovereignty is only possible with the acquiescence of those surrounding it. If I claim my house as a sovereign state it is a defined territory with a permanent population with a dictatorial government that could enter into relations with another state. Those facts are irrelevant because until...
