I was thinking of going the whole route of someday making the roles the classes and within the roles the character can pick and choose from any of those powers that belong to those classes that compose the roles... However, I don't think there are two of every role, if I am not mistaken.

This is one of the better fantasy series I've read, but I enjoyed it for what it is... a dark fantasy intended for adults and not the kiddies. Not as good as Wheel of Time or A Song of Fire and Ice or Mistborn, but the series wasn't bad either.
