    Excerpt: Multiclassing (merged)

This is long. I think the best multi-classing will come from half-elves. I'm afraid that it might be worthless for anyone else to multi-class, because all a person acquires is a skill and one ability usable sometimes. The most absolute glaring flaw is that one cannot determine what one borrows...

Epic Destiny: Which one will make it?

I like demigod. I'm down with that. Honestly, I'll be happy with as many of them as possible.

    Elite minions

So, I was thinking about threshold damage minions. They go down when hit by an attack that does >=x damage. So by these zany and fun rules, a Vampire spawn minion (are those stats from the minis?) would have to take 10 or more damage in a single hit to go down.

    What's your back-up game?

Well... assuming 4e is not fun, I'll probably house-rule the hell out of it until it's only 4e in name. Other than that, there's Shadowrun 4th ed, Serenity(I have the book to run it some day...), Exalted always seemed interesting, and nWoD. I don't think I'll be in a bind at all.

    Ray of Frost

I think Warlords get an attack where allies(or an ally) can make a ranged basic attack against a target. So, MM, Eldritch Blast, and stuff would work... but RoF(ls!) wouldn't. I also imagine that weapon focus (and possibly other similar feats) can be applied to ranged basic attacks, but not to...

    D&D 4E 4E Liker - anything you worry about?

What I am actually most afraid of... how will Order of the Stick handle 4e? Has that been addressed anywhere?

    D&D 4E Life Points - 4E Mechanic?

But, was the game fun anyway? I'll be going to another demo, will be run by the same dm (a rather anti-rp fellow... which is a total aside). The reason I'll be going back? Because even with his lack of rules knowledge, 4e was that much fun to play. Also, I want to try and see if I can pull...

    Tier-crossing quests

Ahh... I agree. That level should be something plot amazing.

    Minion Status: Private or Public?

Concur fully. I like the idea of a group of monsters that all look alike, but have vastly different powers. It'll keep PCs on their toes more, I think, and make the game feel more dangerous.

    A Whippershnapper's Review

Awesome, I'm glad it went well. Do you think everyone wants to play again?

    Tier-crossing quests

Interesting flavour. This type of thing could be cool. A problem is that whoever had their path started first would be more powerful and a greater asset to the party and possibly level up faster. This, if done well, could be cool and fun. I just think it'd be hard to do in-game. I was thinking...

    swarm of minions attack!

Attack of the house rules.... D20 + 1Dsomething = How many got that attack roll. (If it goes over the max, whatever) So, D20 + 4D6 one or more times and the fight is (reasonably) quickly solved. I haven't actually run a 4e game, yet... so I'm just throwing out a zany idear.

D&D 4E My Warlord Concept - Why Does 4e Fail?

I would like to bring up the very important mentioning of caster guns.

    Appeal of the defender?

    Give it to them good.

D&D 4E 4E: What 3.x problem did it fix for you?

It's like the group of level one PCs who take 20 searching every door, huh? I'm a fan of softy dms who throw down when they need to. :)

D&D 4E 4E: What 3.x problem did it fix for you?

Well... no one's responding so I'll give it a whirl. First though, I gotta' say the wording to your question, "what issue did it solve that was a problem in 3.x?" sounds vaguely like a trap. I blame the internet, though. For me, 3.x is a lot of fun if it's house-ruled to the point where it is...

    Excerpts: Angels

Yeah, I'm feeling pretty good about the angels. A bit skimpy, however... overall I think I can roll with the update and use it. But, I hope for as skimpy as this one was, the wednesday multiclass thing will be juicy and awesome. Only wednesday!

    Disarming a character from powers?

Anyone know if cold iron still has anti-fey associated powers in 4e? I was thinking manacles of some roughly forged iron could bind a creature (especially fey) to the material plane. At least, that's always been my house rule. Heh, first step - get the fey out of the cold iron. Second step -...

    D&D 4E King Arthur - 4E Adventurer?

Nice interpretation. I dig it very much and it really sounds like the tiers.
