    D&D 5E The Hags of 5E

I always use Hags as evil/dark/broken avatars of the Triple Godess's crone aspect. As such i use evil/dark/broken avatars of the Horned God as "male hags". Depending of the setting, it can be Devils, Efreeti or Onis...

    D&D 5E What does 5E do well?

D&D 5 is very nicely balanced : far simpler than 3e or 4e but still with a lot more tools to play with than OD&D, AD&D or BD&D, it's basically the "sweet spot" of the D&D editions. It's also a very robust system. The Inspiration mechanic is quite effectiv and i think it actually helps to do...

D&D 5E What exactly is Feywild in your campaigns?

For me, Feywild is "Fey + Wild" so Faerie + Lost World, Oberon & Titania meet King kong & dinos The Feywild is "the begining", a place of light, action, youth and ambition when the Shadowfell is "the end", a place of shadows, apathy, old age and lost memories.

The Real Greatest TV Shows of All Time

The wire : from my point of view, the best TV show ever. There is two kind of television : the Wire and everything else. Buffy the vampire slayer (& Angel) : Buffy is the perfect "working class superhero". Some episodes are just fully awsomes (Hush, the Zeppo, the body, etc.) True detective...

    D&D 5E Help me design Fantasy Americas D&D (+)

Sorry for the "subject crashing" but i'm a french game designer and one of the modules of my OSR D&D-esque game "Coureurs d'Orages" is precisely a "western fantasy" module. Half of the module (the gazeteer of the West Marches) is free to dowmload here (direct link) Maybe it can be useful to...

D&D 5E How do you feel about games without Feats and Multiclassing?

Thousands of players had great fun playing the pregen from the starter set (AKA : with the basic rules). People playing with the Essentials Kit also do not use Feats & MC and have a blast. As i said, i love Feats but i can see the point of playing without them. We all know the vast majority of...

D&D 5E How do you feel about games without Feats and Multiclassing?

As a DM and by default, i tend to say yes to Feats and no to MC so... It's complicated ^^ I also like the aesthetics of playing only with the Basic Rules but then i use (variant human + prodigy feat) as the standard human.

D&D General What Is Your D&D Survivor Edition?

From my point of view we're living the golden age of D&D because we can buy and play both D&D 5e (the best of WOTC era) and Old School Essentials (the best of TSR era... improved). Because this poll is about official versions of the game only, the choice was easy and painless : 5e.

D&D 5E D&D Head Talks Future Plans (Sort Of)

My money is still on a "Dungeon Kit" and a "City Kit" to go with the "Wilderness Kit".

D&D 5E Everything We Know About The Ravenloft Book

Google translate is wrong ^^ Dementlieu can be translated as "madplace" : dement = mad/crazy (dementia ?) un lieu = a place But it's basically "bad french" a native speaker will never call a city "Dementlieu" :)

B&G's Silver Edition of Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden - A Review

A complete Pathfinder AP is basically $120... $150 for Ptolus or $175 for a B&G Silver Edition seems correct (way more stuff). Living in France i will never be able ton afford a Platinum/Legendary edition from B&G ($499+shipping+taxes) but the unboxings of the Curse of Stradh one made me sooo...

D&D 5E Final Boss (tm) for a level 11 campaign.

I'm seriously considering this one, reskinned as the King in Yellow. I could use it as a potential Patron for a Great Old One Sorcerer...

D&D 5E Final Boss (tm) for a level 11 campaign.

And with the spells and a few HP more (let's say 30-50 bonus HP, a very good roll with the 19d12 ^^) ?

D&D 5E Final Boss (tm) for a level 11 campaign.

I don't think so... It's mostly a question of aesthetics : i like the idea that some foes are powerful enough to be able fight alone. For some of the "Figures/Alpha predators" of my campaign setting i will happily use minions [I'm considering a Winter Eladrin Warlord - CR 12 - with a pair of...

D&D 5E Final Boss (tm) for a level 11 campaign.

You're the second person suggesting the spellcasting variant, is that a indication that maybe legendary CR 17 is not strong enough for what i need ?
