    Evil Gestalt Monk

Rumble, the monk variant he's interested in is in a downloadable addition to the book. Downloading it from wizards's site is the only way to actually get said rules. :)

    Evil Gestalt Monk

It's in Dragon Magic. Is it too late to back out of the VoP thing? It's a really bad deal unless your DM is way below expected wealth per level amounts. And he allowed it despite being evil...what are you doing about all those bonus exalted feats that aren't very useful to an evil dude? I...

    Why do players like rogues/thieves?

Lots of reasons - Alignment/outlook: Look, I'm all for being the good guy and all. But...man is it nice to be a class where "looking out for numero uno" is hardwired into the class flavor. zif I feel like being selfless or nice, I can. If I feel like insisting on just compensation, fair...

    Streamlining Traits

And the road to hell is paved with good intentions. It really doesn't matter if they were intended to be flavor only. They were also intended to be half the value of a feat each, roughly, which inherently means picking your two traits is just as important as picking your first level feat...

    Let's build an imbalanced rogue

It's one of the few advantages Rogue has over Ninja. :) And now...I'll attempt an archer utilizing Oracle dip. Half-Elf Rake Rogue (no archetype really helps...Sniper would if DM houseruled their extended range to synergize w/ Sniper's Goggles). Takes Dual-Cursed Oracle dip at 3, though it...

    Let's build an imbalanced rogue

In reponse to Systole: Rogue "Ninja Trick (Ex): A rogue with this talent can choose a trick from the ninja trick list. The rogue can choose but cannot use talents that require ki points, unless she has a ki pool. A rogue can pick this talent more than once." Ninja Trick (Ex) - Pathfinder_OGC...

    Let's build an imbalanced rogue

Since Bacris did intimidation based melee w/ sap master, I'll try a dagger thrower just to not be too similar. Note: I'm using a shaky reading where Enforcer's "Whenever you deal nonlethal damage with a melee weapon" takes into account that dagger is classified as a melee weapon even if using...

    DM problems

I don't think it'd ever be ok. I try to make all my changes before starting a campaign for ample notice. If anything comes up during a game that I realize I want to houserule, unless said thing REALLY bothers me, I will follow the rules as written for that session and declare the rule changed...

    Let's build an imbalanced rogue

I thought the goal of this is to show that even the most min-maxed optimized rogue possible is in the end no more imbalanced than a wizard who picked his spell selection by randomly throwing darts at a board while blindfolded. :p

    Let's build an imbalanced rogue

Rogue already gets proficiency with rapier, sap, and shortbow. Others would be nice, but are not worth sacrificing the ability to take another archetype over. Do these builds have to be rogue only? The only truly viable rogue build using PF only rules I can think of requires dipping Oracle 1...

    Let's build an imbalanced rogue

Don't bother with Swashbuckler. If you're using the UC, rogue can take Ninja Trick (Combat Trick) to gain Combat Trick twice. Yeah, you could still take swashbuckler for a bonus feat THREE times. But you only really need the ability to wholesale your godawful rogue talents 4 times (2, 4, 6...

    Gas Mask?

From [3.x] Shax's Indispensible Haversack (Equipment Handbook) - Giant in the Playground Forums "Auran Mask Price: 60 GP Weight: -- (Complete Mage p. 134) Provides a +5 circumstance bonus against inhaled toxins (which stacks with Antitoxin), but this is easily overshadowed by 10 minutes of...

    Synthetist is Shameful.

Systole, you probably mean that it's difficult if not impossible to break the game with rogue. But there's also the other meaning of "introduce game imbalance with a rogue." That is, buff the ever loving hell out of them via houserules to try and make them as powerful as a wizard. I can...

    Zombies!

Yeah, darkness / lack of sight would also slow down fly speed as you have to "feel out" where your going, be cautious of walls/obstacles/etc..., and so on. I was thinking just of difficult terrain, as you surmised.
  15. StreamOfTheSky

    Zombies!

It's worse in some ways since it also affects fly speed. It's not as bad in other ways, such as not depriving you of the ability to 5 ft step.
  16. StreamOfTheSky

    Zombies!

Your movement is not being hampered by terrain or darkness, so no, that rule has nothing to do with Slow. Also, I forgot why this is even an issue. 5 ft step is NOT an action at all, it is a nonaction.

    Darkstalker VS Lifesense(s)

Well, it just annoys me that there's this super-sense feat that basically can't be defeated. Unless you're also "on the team," so to speak. That a 20th level Rogue/Shadowdancer/whatever with maxed stealth skills still has no way of defeating it. Darkstalker IMO was one of the single greatest...

    OotS 843

It has to work through deceased relatives. It was CAST on an animated undead head of the slain dragon and traveled from there! And yes, this is by far and away the most grossly powerful spell even shown in the comic, and as I said last thread, whoever Haera was, she was apparently more...

That is NOT how an elf's free check to notice secret doors is supposed to work. :)

    Darkstalker VS Lifesense(s)

Yeah, unfortunately Darkstalker does not work against that feat or Mind Sight. That's why the scouting handbook strongly suggests being Necropolitan in order to avoid such things.
