Questions about very "low" level adventures.

Well, here's an idea in regards to the older, experienced adventurers. Why are they in the area? Maybe, they are returning the body of a fallen comrade-in-arms back to his or her home village. Maybe, one of the youngsters has never been told of the "black sheep" uncle (or aunt) of the family...

outside pseudomedieval what can be done well yet?

Ok, seems as though the gang at Dog House Rules just ain't gettin' the word out enough. So. I'll blow the bugle again. Sidewinder:Recoiled. Taking the d20 Modern rules and applying them to the Wild West. No magic, no steampunk. Just straight western action. Want to play a game based on movies...

Anyone got a better name for this forum?

Well, if the general discussion *has* to be seperated into two forums, then I would suggest that General Discussion be renamed General Gaming Discussion and this one General Conversation. Skull and Bones Character Problem

Gee, I'm having flashbacks to that old comedy movie. Can't remember the name right now, but it had two sets of twins in the French Revolution. One set was raised as aristocracy and the other were paupers. It turns out all four were born on the same day in the same inn, and the babies became...

    Mongoose's OGL Horror info...

My guess is that OGL is a euphamism for including a way of actually creating characters, as opposed to using the chapter 1 of a Core d20 rulebook.

Kinda poll: What do you want in a mini-game

Well, I don't know about mini-games, but for Wild West in the vein of Young Guns and Silverado (and Tombstone, any John Wayne movie, any Clint Eastwood movie, Bonanza, the Rifleman, Wagon Train...etc...) keep an eye out for Sidewinder:Recoiled. Which should be out within the next few weeks...

New Bullet Points (10/28): Gear and Equipment

Just as a point of game design. The weights in the rules are not just about the physical "dead weight" of the weapon. Some weapons are listed as larger weights for the purpose of simulating the net "encumbrance value" of the weapon. While a Greatsword may not actually weigh 15 lbs. that weight...

Is Disable Device a redundant skill?

OK, so I'm reading through the skills, and it suddenly dawns on me. Why does d20 Modern have both Disable Device AND Repair? Is this really necessary?

Well in reading the preview that they released on their website it would appear that they are using the d20 3.0 or 3.5 rules, since some mention is made of the rogue and fighter classes.

    Midkemia Press Going Through Changes?

Joe, the co-written books were only released in the UK as far as I can tell. If you go to amazon.co.uk you can find info on the isbn's. It seems as though Midkemia is far more popular in europe than in the states.
