I've been wondering about how easy it is to convert recent published SCs to this format. Any experiences with that? Obviously, I haven't tried it yet myself.

I've used some of Mesh Hong's critters, and I endorse his message. I created an encounter where the party had to cross a dried-out moat full of zombies, in order to get to the castle they wanted to loot. The zombies were nearly all minions, and had instructions to keep circling the castle...

I'm having to deal with this very issue, and I think Nymrohd's ruling makes the most sense. If you use that weapon 2-handed (for a bonus) you give up a defense bonus.

Just got to see this for the first time. It had a lot of shortcomings (just too many characters to follow, etc.), but it sure did have a lot of D&D potential. And excellent cinematography. The ships, the mammoths - really fun to watch. The grand temple at the end looked like the Belterra...

This works well for the DM also. I use red, white, blue (easy to remember) and black if need be.

These two guys hold a warm spot in my cockles. They wiped out an entire party I was DMing back in 3.5. They'll crap themselves if they see them coming again.
