[D20 CoC] Beyond the Mountains of Madness - Chapter 1; Recruiting Alternate Players

A Package for Jim Poole When Jim stops to check his messages at the Amherst Hotel lobby desk, the clerk retrieves a small, brown-paper-wrapped package from under the desk and hands it to him. From it's weight and size, you guess that it's a book. Written on the outside of the package is the...

And it's a good thing that those reporters are accurate! I'd hate to see what would appear in the newspapers if they weren't so exacting in their profession! :p Job.

The desk clerk picks up the telephone receiver, identifies himself to the hotel switchboard operator, and waits. After about ten seconds, he speaks into the telephone while looking at Camillle, "Yes, Mr. Starkweather? This is Daniel at the lobby desk. I am sorry to interrupt you, but I have a...

Shaman, If you don't believe that Paco would respond to the newspaperman by sighing and rolling his eyes, let me know what other act of exasperation he would exhibit and I'll make a slight modification to the post. I didn't really envision Paco rolling his eyes, but you know your character...

Paco emerges from the front entrance of the Amherst Hotel, raising his face to enjoy the sun... ...and is immediately surrounded by reporters and cameramen, all shouting and vying for his attention. "Mr. Guerini, can we get a few words?" "Mr. Guerini, Mr. Guerini! What happened last night?"...

What would you change for d20 Modern 2.0

I agree with Shaman on this. I have found the D20M ruleset to be useful and a nice migration of the D&D v3.5 methods into the modern era, but just can't bring myself to run a modern game with D&D monsters and magic. Sure, D20M has a few problems that could be corrected or enhanced in a V2.0...

    D20 Modern/Future: Biotech / Augmentations Supplement

Thanks, everyone, for your responses. You've given me some books/publications to investigate. I'm interested in using the cybernetics/biotech devices to add a few neat options to near-future characters and also to outfit a number of villains (who may have access to higher level technology). Paco recieves an answer. Supervisor Mills clears his throat, then answers "According to Starkweather, Mr. Longfellow accompanied him on one other expedition. In 1928, Longfellow served as mechanic on the Italia expedition to the Arctic Circle." "Yes, Mr. Guerini, I would appreciate hearing...

A young desk clerk, bedecked in burgundy, smiled and responded, "Mr. Starkweather? I'm afraid that I don't know, Ma'am. Would you like me to ring his room for you?" The clerk, and his smile, patiently waited for your answer.

    D20 Modern/Future: Biotech / Augmentations Supplement

Is there a pdf or book out there that you would recommend that offers descriptions, D20 stats, and artwork for biotech items to be used for character improvements and weaponry? For example, it should cover implants, tissue/organ grafts, cloning, bioweaponry, robotics, and any related skill...

Communications To try to keep things moving, I PM'd Eahba and Dallas, asking if they're planning to continue with BtMoM. So far, I've heard from Eabha, and she said that she is still very interested but ran into some RL issues (including internet connectivity) that limited her availability...

Another question for Paco... Upon hearing Paco's words, Detective Hansen stood and walked to the table, mouth slightly open, staring at Paco. After a few seconds, he said, "Mr. Guerini, I believe that Lawrence knew something, but I don't know exactly what it means and I don't know where it...

Call of cthulhu D20 or not so D20?

I concur with Garnfellow. I've run both the BRP and D20 versions of CoC, but have lately been staying with D20 CoC because: - My players are already familiar with the D20 ruleset via D&D - I use the D20 CoC book to import mythos monsters and effects into my D&D campaign - I have many extra...
