I'm using the absolute latest version of FireFox (from Mozilla). I have Java installed - you have to to run OpenRPG. I know very little about web design, so can't help ID the problem :(

I use grids for complex battles, no grid for simple ones. That's about it.

I recommend checking out Darwin's World II for ideas. It's the best-done Post Apocalypse setting around right now, and has a wealth of material that could spur the creative juices! I'm a fanboy for PA material, so when you are done I'll be among the first to download :)
