I'm between campaigns at the moment. While I'm running RuneQuest for a friend, I'm preparing to run the DCC conversion of Dark Tower; I missed the kickstarter but I was able to snag the set of books from an FLGS.

Personally, if I were going to do a DCC Thundarr game or anything along the gonzo sci-fantasy line, I’d start with The Umerican Survival Guide. I love all the Umerican stuff, and it’s gonzo enough to do Thundarr justice.

I once spent way too long running a campaign I had no interest in for players who loved it. I wound up burning out so hard I very nearly quit the hobby entirely. So I would say if you can adjust your style/campaign to something that better suits your group, and you would enjoy that campaign...
