How do you find players for non-D&D games?

I favor far more loosey goosey rules light story games, and things like FAE, so not too much prep for me. And it looks like any mod I need is in TTSim. Excellent.

How do you find players for non-D&D games?

I actually really like the look of Tabletop Simulator. Of course that depends on how big the community that support it is, but boy it looks nice. Some fans have even made a Jenga variant, but I suspect folks won't trust that. It's not as good.

How do you find players for non-D&D games?

I already know what I want to play, but I've gotten advice saying not to specify. Because you say "I want to play X" they will think "That's not D&D I don't know what that is, nevermind". Instead say "I want to play a game, looking for players" and maybe suggest it's not D&D and then explain...

How do you find players for non-D&D games?

It’s been a long time since I played RPGs beyond Convention one-shots, but I have the bug to try it again. I’ve moved to a new area and know no one. While I want to run/play RPGs, the only games running here are D&D and maybe PF. I’m unwilling to play D&D/PF. II try to play it I’ll end up that...

Roll 20, Fantasy Grounds, or other VTT?

It's been a long while since I played on Maptools (back in the 4e days), but it worked for the most part. The trouble with Maptools is a lot of pre-game prep. Making maps takes a while, programming macros, etc etc. Port forwarding and so forth. It's a good program if you know what you're doing...

Anyone have these adventures from Dungeon?

Ahh, then the third installment must have been when WotC took over Dungeon, but hadn't converted to 4e yet. Thanks!

Anyone have these adventures from Dungeon?

Trying to track down some Dungeon PDFs from before it went completely digital. I used to own the hardcopy of two, before they were lost in a move, and I know the third one was in Dungeon issue #50, which was posted on WotC's site in PDF form. The specific adventures are the Victor St. Demaine 3...

    Harassment in gaming

I know we're no longer debating whether these claims are made up/exaggerated/etc but I wanted to add one more point to the issue: This happens to guys too, and they don't report it. They often don't make a scene, it's uncomfortable and unwelcome too. I'm a furry, I go to furry cons. There, the...

    Harassment in gaming

I can think of a couple. I don't own the books anymore, but yeah, some all-female Organizations (like the church of that good drow deity).

    Harassment in gaming

Guys here have asked "What can we do about this?" This article, along with going over some of the rhetorical arguments presented in this thread, gives direct advice to male allies:

    Harassment in gaming

(I did a global ENWorld search and didn't see any mention of this topic, and since it's kinda related to this thread, I thought I'd bring it up here. This thread has been mainly related to women, but there's other people who can be harassed. Last week, Baldur's Gate 2 received a DLC, Siege of...

    Harassment in gaming

I was sorely tempted to post this link, so I'm glad someone did. Nerd culture is going through a social upheaval right now, with these sorts of things going on in the videogame fandoms (Gamergate), the SF/F writing community (Rabid/Sad puppies), this degree of aggressive, polarized social war...

RPG products of random bits, random tables, or other miscellany resources?

The links you gave are pretty cool! It reminds me a lot about Exalted. Do they mostly make RPGs, or is their stuff system neutral?

RPG products of random bits, random tables, or other miscellany resources?

I actually don't like GENERATORS. Because they only give you one. The reason I like tables is because then all of them are listed, and I can browse and pick one out that I like. If I were to do that with a generator, I'd have to keep hitting the button until exhausting all the possible options.

RPG products of random bits, random tables, or other miscellany resources?

As a DM, the older I get, the lazier I get, and one type of product that I have grown to love are gaming products that are nothing more than lists of liittle details to toss into a game. It could be a list of garbage you find in a dungeon room, to a list of various dungeon entrances, to exotic...

    Am I doing it wrong?

Wow! Talk about thread necromancy. Well, at this time I do not have players. I have not had players since 2012. But I can report that I finally did kill a PC. He was a 3rd level striker of some sort, down in the single digits of HP, and bam, a skirmisher devil hit him to a quarter below his...
