Dungeons and Dragons Movie Rights go to trial

Trial was over at the of September, they just had post-trial motions and filing of transcripts and such. Unfortunately I can't find any statistics on average time from trial to judgment. But nine months does seem like a long time. I don't think the Judge wants to dodge the issue of whether...

D&D 5E What would be your ideal 5E yearly product output?

I think what I'd want to see would be 1 AP per year 2 shorter modules or 1 large sandbox adventure per year 1 monster manual every other year 1 campaign setting every other year 1 rules supplement every other year

Note to WotC: They're not TRPGs. They're just RPGs.

How do you enjoy typing on your mechanical calculating machine? You can't type on a human, it's just absurd.

TITANSGRAVE Episode 2 - Evil Awakens

Yeah, I had a similar reaction as camilaacolide and Scrivener of Doom. I did enjoy it for the character interaction and humor. In the Chapter 0 intro, Will described the game as a series of encounters, and that's what was delivered. I don't know if I'd call it railroading or lack of player...

    Catching Up With PATHFINDER ONLINE

"Our Pathfinder Chronicles campaign setting was designed around the tropes and values of classic fantasy roleplaying, and the Pathfinder Adventure Path books were designed to provide the best gaming experience using the 3.5 system. After careful evaluation of our options, we believe that the 3.5...

Caverns of Thracia and White Plume Mountain advice needed

I think our group was 2nd level when we started Caverns of Thracia. That seemed to work, although I don't know if the DM adjusted some of the encounters. Like some modules of the time, a way to approach the tough fights is to make an alliance with one of the groups, and then have some allies...

D&D 5E Necromancer Games--What do you want us to make next?

Another vote for a sandbox mini-campgain, something similar in scope to Vault of Larin Karr.

D&D 5E Looking for cool evil grunts

The CW usually has full videos available for a week or two after airing. I watch both Arrow and Flash on my tablet on a CW app.

    D&D 5E I think a cantrip somewhat cripples the CR 16 marilith

These puns are re-volting. I like the idea of the cantrip removing one reaction.

Dungeons and Dragons Movie Rights go to trial

Sure, if you had factual issues in dispute and needed to see if a witness testifies particularly well or poorly. But here the primary issue is really a legal one of contract interpretation. Also, the judge might give a clue on how she would rule, but the statement looked neutral. Of course...

Dungeons and Dragons Movie Rights go to trial

Trial is now over. Here is a short article. There may not be any decision for a while if judge wants them to try to reach a settlement agreement. I'm not sure why they would settle now, after they have committed the $ to the trial, when they were unable to reach an agreement in the two...

D&D 5E How Will You Be Generating Stats in 5E?

Yeah, it has it's own weirdness. If the high and low cards are evenly dispersed, you can get a basically straight 12s-14s which can look pretty blah, if they clump too much you get a high score and a pretty low score, and if you are lucky they clump just right and you get some goods scores and...

D&D 5E How Will You Be Generating Stats in 5E?

Take the aces through 6s from a deck of cards to get 24 cards. Deal into six stacks of four cards. Drop lowest card from each stack. Assign to stats in order, then optionally swap two stats. If I recall, this averaged to a 28 point buy (in 3e) with a very tight distribution.
