Dragonlance Would you allow Kender outside of Dragonlance?

Yes. I let the players choose a race from anywhere.

Looking for specific product: "Easily insertable encounters/scenarios"

There was a set of encounters released for 2nd Edition you might like, but converting to 5th Edition will make it much less useful. I would suggest you make your own. Just brainstorm and make encounters and whatever else you like, starting with terrain types, or adventure scenarios. At first...

    D&D 5E Would you change a monster's hit points mid-fight?

The situation I envisioned was actually a new player joining a group where it has never been discussed, and where the DM may have fudged and felt he needed to keep it secret.

And folks, it is not dishonest to deny the players information about anything you don't want them to know. Even the Vulcans do not have to volunteer information, and to call a denial of fudging a lie is in fact changing the subject. Trust me, it's not something you want to call anyone a liar...

I don't think you could call me out on anything ever in your life, Ezekiel. Keep trying, though. Maybe someday some of my own courtesy and greater wisdom will rub off on you.

I think this is really a great answer.

    D&D 5E Would you change a monster's hit points mid-fight?

Any uncertainty will continue to raise the question. A denial just works best in this case.

    Keeping a Group Together

You should be ready to firmly defend it if someone calls it cheating. Likewise, the DM is not dishonest in deciding what information to give or deny the players. Your answers are telling them what they should know. The fudging may be the easiest, least intrusive adjustment the DM can make in...

    D&D 5E Would you change a monster's hit points mid-fight?

Now you are the blowing it out of proportion, good sir. I said nothing of building a relationship on a bed of lies. It is curious you make exceptions for lying in other circumstances. I don't even fudge myself, I just want to stop people from calling it cheating and get them to accept that...

    D&D 5E Would you change a monster's hit points mid-fight?

Not letting them down is treating them badly?! It should be re-assuring to a player with objections to it. The DM who says he never does it isn't likely to do it very often, now is he? It becomes important to him to keep the illusion going.

    D&D 5E Would you change a monster's hit points mid-fight?

I wouldn't be surprised if they had some very high scores. I would either accept their PC's as is, or edit them. They should be within the ballpark of each other, most importantly.

    Keeping a Group Together

I don't think so. There is no better gaming than... whatever each and every individual thinks. The players should let the DM run the game how they wish.

Or the DM can make sure no one is let down. Nip the argument in the bud: always say you never fudge, and do it anyway if you want.

Except you wouldn't even play in their group, right? And how many times have you dissed fudging and people who defend it?

    D&D 5E Would you change a monster's hit points mid-fight?

Every DM you ever had may have fudged without your knowledge. If your favorite campaign of all time included fudging, would you want to take it back?

Confirm or Deny: D&D4e would be going strong had it not been titled D&D

I am afraid you might be right. It doesn't seem worth it to discuss what is nostalgia anymore.

Many DM's fudge things and have no problems, though.

Hey, I am being serious. You can't do that, I suspect for anyone. If you want to improve your game, take my advice.
