    D&D storylines for a movie?

Whatever setting they choose, I hope the movie leans into all the fantasy tropes DnD is built on. I would like the heroes to sort of like Deadpool in that they realize they are part a ‘standard’ fantasy setting. Then, it should switch a quarter of the way through by breaking all the tropes.

I love these ideas. They could become skill challenges.

Is there a monster/foe which eats magic items or spells?

Back in the day, there used to be a monster called the 'Disenchanter'.

    Allowing Vicious Mockery via telepathy

So a telepath never has to speak their spells? They just need to think them??

If VM, then what else? Suggestion? Dissonant Whispers? I think this opens a Pandora's Box.

Additionally, there are some magic items which enhance abilities. Some of the Ioun Stones come to mind. Some spells might do the same

What are the ability *scores* used for in 5e?

One thing no one else has mentioned is that ability scores are used for multi-classing viability.

Initiative Variant (Speed Factor) - actual use

I've used a version of these rules in 2nd edition and I enjoyed them. The players though felt at times the DM (i.e. me) meta-gamed and adjusted my monsters actions based on what I heard the players were doing.

"Are the Authors of the Dungeon & Dragons Hardcover Adventures Blind to the Plight of DMs?"

I ran OotA and it was confusing at times, but there are an abundance of resources to help DM's. I joined a very helpful Facebook group devoted to OotA. The 'hive mind' is a great thing that should not be ignored.

D&D 5E Removing the Concentration Damage Save: Houseruling the Affected Feats and Abilities

Not sure what the point of this post is beyond making yourself feel good. You’ve already pointed out concentration rule we’re play tested In various forms.

D&D 5E Removing the Concentration Damage Save: Houseruling the Affected Feats and Abilities

Just because it was added late is irrelevant. It was found that casters were too powerful if there was no way to disrupt concentration. The other editions are even more irrelevant. No other edition was play tested as much as this edition. This edition learns the errors of the previous ones...

D&D 5E Removing the Concentration Damage Save: Houseruling the Affected Feats and Abilities

You obviously didn't read my entire post because you didn't answer my question. But, contextually, it seems you are allowing casters to maintain concentration despite taking damage. Congratulations. You have now boosted the power of all casters (which hardly needed the boost).

D&D 5E Removing the Concentration Damage Save: Houseruling the Affected Feats and Abilities

So, you're changing a core mechanic which most of the other mechanics were developed with that in mind. Be aware, you will have a lot of unintended consequences by doing this. Also, you don't say what you're going to do instead of not having concentration saves. There are two options...

    D&D 5E A single +1 armor for a level 10 party

My experience has been that if you give out too many magic items, your characters forget about them. I don't know how many times players forgot they had a potion that would solve a particular problem on them.

Goodman Games Latest News on Into The Borderlands

I own In Search of the Unknown and Keep on the Borderlands. I also liked the playtest version of KotBL they did for DnD Next. But, Into the Unknown is pretty much a handful of encounters and the rest is randomized. Even the map makes no sense. In the old days, players would make their own...
