I've tinkered with shields a bit and ended up making large and Tower shields armor bonus added to certain saving throws; Dragon breath, Burning hands, etc. It wasn't too overpowering and did add a bit of realism... :heh: as far as fantasy realism goes that is.

That's a cool idea, It's use would also be applied with punishing criminals. Strip em naked, give em a stick and send them in and watch....the ratings go up. That would also pose a problem for PC's because the criminals strong and cunning enough to survive could also be a thorn in the sides...

I liked the origional polymorphs. They were far more applicable to other uses besides combat before.
