    New Tiefling Fluff (not WotC)

With the change in the cosmology in that the abyss is in the elemental chaos and demons are elementals who were corrupted when they got too close to the abyss, I was wondering if the tielfling would be used for all of the planetouched genasi races. With the new description of demons being...

    At Will Abilities

My thought on the at will abilities is how they affect the world outside of an adventuring group in a dungeon. What is the impact of the village cleric who can heal at will all day long? Do commoners need to fear getting hurt anymore? And with the at will magical attack why do armies need...

PC Roles (New Design and Development Article)

If the ranger is in the PHB but the druid isn't then the ranger can't draw nature spells from the druid spell list, it won't exist. I would hope they don't make the ranger cast priestly cleric spells so this leaves no spellcasting or arcane.

Touch spells: were they always like this?

We've had some confusion over Chill Touch in our games. It is an instantaneous touch attack spell but says the caster gets 1 attack per caster level. So does a 10th level wizard get to make 10 touch attacks in a round? Or does his hand hold the magic indefinately until he has made 10 touch attacks?

What do you want to see in the fourth Adventure Path?

I would like to see less of a time constraint. Adventures in which the players feel they need to rush or else they won't save the world in time don't allow down time for things like spell research, crafting items, training, or any side quests the DM wants to add. They feel too linear in that the...

What do you want to see in the fourth Adventure Path?

How about featuring the Shadar-Kai? They are fey but have a connection to the plane of shadow. They could be trying to invade into the world but they aren't trying to take it over or destroy it, they are trying to break their shadow curse and return to their original home. They could approach...

What DO you DO for... Rangers?

For my camapaigns I use the Scout and Wilderness Rogue variant as the wilderness skirmishers so I changed the Ranger back into the nature magic wilderness warrior. I gave the Ranger a d10 hit die, made his reflex save poor, and took away evasion. For the combat style I let the Ranger take any...

    Ranger - likes and dislikes?

Something about the 3.5 Ranger that I have taken notice of is that none of my players are playing one. I've been playing D&D for 22 years now and we have always had a ranger in our party. Even in our 3rd edition campaign we had a player who played a ranger and enjoyed it. When we started our 3.5...

    Ranger - likes and dislikes?

Um, looking at the categories of roles that were mentioned we have: Frontline fighters were Fighter, Paladin, and Barbarian. Skilled Skirmishers were Monk, Scout, and Rogue. Then in the middle were Swashbuckler, Hexblade, and I propose Ranger. Now fighter and paladin have d10, barbarian has...

    Ranger - likes and dislikes?

There are several issues about the 3.5 Ranger that I dislike. To start, the concept of the Ranger has been changed. In "the Ranger Design Notes" by Andy Collins it says that the image of a ranger was that of a hardy, self-sufficient wilderness warrior. This is my image of a ranger and that of my...
