Hi! It sounds like the caster elects the targets as s/he sees fit. As a DM, I might nerf that mechanism after an application of that spell against a dozen creatures. Furthermore, there is no resistance to nonlethal damage. Kind regards

Only hit points don't change. All other things (including saves and attacks, etc.) change due to the newly gained modifiers. Enjoy!

Hi! I took the sub level myself (for a single-class fighter) character and I'm convinced that the sub level is not unbalanced. It's nice, but focussed. In combination with runesmith it's... like traditional for dwarves. But I don't think that it would be unbalanced. Try it. Enjoy!
