    AL Faction Guide available

Yeah, it took us a while to get here - but we're all pretty happy with it. So... here's to hoping you all are, too!

When will we see tier 3 or 4 AL Adventures?

Nobody's bitten yet, but perhaps at Queen City Conquest in September (http://live.queencityconquest.com/)? My travel for the summer is fairly limited, but I can say for certain that I will not be running it as a tier 4 table at Gen Con - it's just not the right environment. Not in a 4-hour...

When will we see tier 3 or 4 AL Adventures?

Tier 4 options will be *extremely* limited, as it's not really a design focus for us. That said, we will have SOME tier 4 options for those that desire to try their luck. I'm still looking for a table of tier 4 players for DDAO-01 Window to the Past... just sayin'. ;)

    April AL Releases

The file will be posted on dmsguild.com for all people to use, but it is not needed (though helpful). Because of how dmsguild.com is set up, it will *not* be added into the original 4-2 download but will have to remain as a distinct entry in that system.

    April AL Releases

For what it's worth.... People have been aggressively buying the new adventures, and while we appreciate it -- we also want to reward it! One of my design philosophies is to keep expanding on content. DDAL4-02 The Beast ticked through Copper Metal and Silver Metal status rankings on...

    April AL Releases

Parts of the Glumpen Swamp and the Quivering Forest have been transported to Barovia, and are now located in the Svalich Woods. And devlin1 is correct: "There's no going back. Not until Strahd allows it."

    DDAL Racism and DDAL4-1 [Spoilers]

The adventure is in the process of being re-edited. To be frank, there are some artifacts in there of previous versions - so I'm not sure if version control went sideways on us or what, but some of those gaffes are fairly embarrassing and will be going away. I can confirm that we are indeed...

    DDAL Racism and DDAL4-1 [Spoilers]

New post on the AL site that talks about the concerns that people have brought up, and the points/ counterpoints that others have raised: http://dndadventurersleague.org/sensitivity-in-the-demiplane-of-dread/

    DDAL Racism and DDAL4-1 [Spoilers]

Here is the AL's official statement on this current topic: We understand that the description of certain elements in this adventure may be viewed by some gamers in a less-than-desirable light. To that end we will be reviewing the adventure and are aiming to post some more descriptive elements...

    Good on WOTC for diversity!

OH! I cannot take credit for that particular instance - I was merely chiming in on the inclusion and related thoughts. DDEX3-6 was written by Ash Law and that decision was most certainly made by the designer; I can say for certain that it was not in the original outline, but we're pretty...

DDAL Here's WotC's 14-Adventure CURSE OF STRAHD Series For DDAL

I'm very excited to start running the Curse of Strahd AL adventures for my home game on Monday nights. We're looking to start around the first Monday in May, and will likely move through them pretty quickly -- and we'll be streaming! This season's format really does lend itself to running the...

    Good on WOTC for diversity!

While writing DDEX3-13: Writhing in the Dark, I had a chance to try to move to gender-neutral pronouns for one of the characters. It was *far* harder than I thought it was going to be, and to be honest... racial history for that character aside, I'm not sure that I would've felt motivated to do...

Release Date for S4 Player's Guide?

Confirmed: GaryCon is this weekend! Confirmed: There are adventures from Curse of Strahd premiering there! Confirmed: There are official AL people there! Confirmed: We REALLY want to release the CoS Player's Guide on March 4th (well, March 4th for the US... sorry international dateline people!)...

    AL; Normal experience?

SouthpawSoldier -- have you checked out the Player's Guide? There's a ton of good information in there, including some of the differences between how the hardcover adventures run and how the episodic AL adventures work. You can get that file, and a bunch of others, from our site...

[SPOILERS] Some thoughts on the Author Only mods from Winter Fantasy

Oddly enough, "pay per view D&D" isn't so alien a concept now -- just look at the meteoric rise of Twitch and eSports! I have to say, though, that I wouldn't want my AO game to be broadcast. The way it's structured, it needs to be experienced first-hand or the impact is lost I'm afraid. Maybe...

    DDEX 3-13 Question *SPOILERS*

Hey folks - Yes, there is an updated version of this file that is inbound. I've applied a bunch of fixes (some small, mostly large though) - many of these updates happened for one of two reasons: a) this adventure went through significant updates in two of the encounters between playtesting...

[SPOILERS] Some thoughts on the Author Only mods from Winter Fantasy

Wow, folks, there's some cool discourse going on here. As one of the DDAO designers it's great to see so many enthusiastic people in and around this program - players, curious persons, all that jazz. To be honest, this is a program that we've had our eye on for awhile as a way to promote...
