    D&D (2024) Dual Wielding

If a player ever wants to, though no one has taken me up on this offer yet, I have some custom materials that let you, with some investment, dual-wield greatswords ala FromSoft games. Hopefully a player will one day go into combat against me with two greatswords, one in each hand.

D&D (2024) Fighter weapons and masteries

Yes but, unlike Push, it requires a saving throw. I think Push, Nick, Sap, and Cleave are the best masteries at the moment; Push has great synergy with Emanation effects, Nick opens up combo turns where you juggle your weapons the most, Sap is very useful just generally, and Cleave just feels...

    D&D (2024) Dual Wielding

A lot of people are really focusing too much on the math, which is an amateur mistake in game design. What matters is the feel more so than the math, with the math still being important of course, but the feel has to be "right." Great Weapon Master: When you make an attack with a Melee weapon...

    D&D General Monster Expectations

I don't believe in player expectations when it comes to monsters. If players what a rote experience every time they face a monster, they should play a board game instead. TTRPGs are games of human creativity; they are, by design, meant for us to tinker with.

D&D (2024) The Multiverse in the 2024 Players Handbook

These sound sick, would have loved an adventure anthology about them.

    D&D (2024) D&D 2024 Player's Handbook Reviews

There is a table for all feats and what category of feat they are (General, Origin, Fighting Style, Epic Boon) but the table does not include a description of each feat.

D&D (2024) Motley Fool Prediction: New Dungeons & Dragons Edition Won't Help Hasbro Much

Stranger Things especially gets a lot of credit for doing almost nothing. The monsters share a name but are vastly different, the only D&D they play is some ancient stuff people only've heard of on Enworld and Dragon's Foot, and I've literally never had a new player tell me they got into D&D...

    D&D (2024) D&D 2024 Player's Handbook Reviews

I consider new problems for old problems to be inevitable. My concern is if there are fewer problems or a better experience. Note I said in my post that criticisms are valid.

I said in that very same post that WotC had stupid methods. Dont crop my post trying to start an argument man.

Covid was orders of magnitude bigger for D&D than the other two things combined.

    D&D (2024) D&D 2024 Rules Oddities (Kibbles’ Collected Complaints)

This is the greatest irony of the whole thing to me. People were so eager to point out all these MASSIVE flaws in the new ideas that they just shot them down and went back to the old. It didn't have to be this way, and if people were more measured in their feedback and actually thought about the...

    D&D (2024) D&D 2024 Player's Handbook Reviews

They always win because the problems brought up online are usually (not always, just usually) not that deep. Having read through the 2024 PHB handbook myself now, I can say a lot of the stuff people are bringing up is second-hand nonsense and isn't that serious. Two Weapon Fighting is fine, most...

    D&D (2024) Dual Wielding

Honestly you could just halve the damage but at that point I think dropping the modifier is smoother. Mathematically what you're really trying to do is shave about 2-3 damage off the attack (since that's what's relevant before 4th level with Dual Wielder). If your extra attack is with a short...

Mearls suggested on patreon that dropping the damage die a step ir two would be a cleaner solution. Thoughts?
