Pathfinder 1E Are people still playing Pathfinder 1e?

Anyway, getting back to the actual topic of this thread, PF1 games ongoing. Hollow's Last Hope was great. A simple little four hour scavenger hunt, but really fun to run and play through. Next up, I'm thinking some classic Richard Pett. Either The Styes from Dungeon magazine or Carrion Hill.

Pathfinder 1E Are people still playing Pathfinder 1e?

Interesting. I was on RPG hiatus during the 3e/4e late unpleasantness. It was always whispered to be a time of great turmoil, though. I was quite involved with Paizo fora etc. when PF2 emerged. There were certainly some very bitter, melodramatic people who saw the new game as an affront to all...

Pathfinder 1E Are people still playing Pathfinder 1e?

Cool. Do you mind if I ask at what age? My daughter is nearly 4. I imagine I'll have a bit if a wait.

Pathfinder 1E Are people still playing Pathfinder 1e?

Running Hollow's Last Hope this weekend. Old Paizo is best Paizo.

Pathfinder 2E Humble RPG Bundle: Pathfinder Second Edition Strength of Thousands by Paizo

That seems entirely sensible. However, if I were buying an AP I'd have to buy all 6 parts immediately even if I know I'll never make it through the whole thing. It is some kind of irrational consumerist compulsion. As a result, I have stopped buying RPG products altogether for the past year or...

Pathfinder 1E Are people still playing Pathfinder 1e?

I haven't played PF1 for a few months. However, I've just started prepping Entombed with the Pharaohs. Very enthusiastic. Early Paizo adventures were so good.

Pathfinder 2E How is Pathfinder doing?

My comment had nothing at all to do with fairness. The previous poster stated the reprint of Ruby Phoenix meant every physical copy had sold out. This is clearly not the case anymore. It's not a fair or unfair comment. It is just the current situation.

Pathfinder 2E How is Pathfinder doing?

It used to mean every physical copy had sold out when they reprinted Runelords and Crimson Throne. However, all three instalments of Ruby Phoenix are available on Paizo's site in soft cover. It also seems the second and third books of Abomination Vaults are not sold out either.

Pathfinder 2E How is Pathfinder doing?

I am paying a lot less attention to the rpg world than I was a few years back, but I can see a lot of cancelled product lines since the new edition dropped. Bestiaries, alien archives, Pathfinder/Starfinder pawns have all been cancelled just in the past couple of months. To me, this is not...

D&D General Why Do People Hate Gnomes?

I'll take gnomes over all the elephant-people, turtle-people, dog-people etc.

Pathfinder: Book of the Dead Review

Interesting. I do not play PF2 at all, but this is one of just a handful of releases for the new edition that holds any interest for me. No accounting for taste, I guess.

Starfinder Starfinder video game might be incoming?

I'm running that AP currently. I really like it. Paizo's last great AP, I would say.

Pathfinder 2E How is Pathfinder doing?

Has Paizo discontinued their Pawns line? According to PathfinderWiki it looks like the last release the Abomination Vaults Pawn Collection in June 2021.

Starfinder What's the state of Starfinder?

I don't believe the modules are bi-monthly. The next two scheduled releases are for July and October. Seems more like a quarterly schedule like the old PF1 Module line? Anyway, I do enjoy the Starfinder system, as already stated, but I feel the adventures do let the system down. And, yeah...

Starfinder What's the state of Starfinder?

It was brought to my attention recently that the Starfinder Adventure Path Line had been reduced to bi-monthly releases. One can only assume this is not due to its great success. I enjoy the Starfinder system. I have found their adventures do fail to grab my interest, though. The Paizo default...

Pathfinder 1E Are people still playing Pathfinder 1e?

I am still playing 1e also. Running Ruins of Azlant currently as a PbF. Sadly, my Rise of the Runelords in person game has died mid book 3 due largely to COVID induced inertia. If I can get together a new group, I'd prefer to play Call of Cthulhu if possible. If not, either PF1 or Shadow of the...

    D&D 5E WOTC book covers....

WotC's books are consistently ugly. Free League's books are consistently beautiful. Why is this given the former has far greater resources at their disposal?

The Starfinder Society and the Future of the Starfinder Galaxy

I really like the Starfinder system and would love to play more. Unfortunately, I find the pre-written adventures don't hit the right tone for me. None of them really appeal. Too light and goofy for my tastes. Eagerly awaiting Grimmerspace to see if that can give me what I want.

D&D General Do You Run Published Adventures, Homebrew Adventures, or Some of Both?

I don't have time or talent to run straight homebrew. I find it much easier to modify an existing framework. Thus, I use PF 1e adventure paths and alter as required. Paizo, from 2007 - 2017, released a number of adventures that suit my tastes very well.

    D&D 5E Epic Monsters: Wendigo

The wendigo in Rise of the Runelords is terrifying. Since then, I've always imagined them as more formidable than this fellow.
