I think I know how the morality clause acceptable(+)

It's what we're doing already. If you don't like the current system, that's another conversation that is not WotC specific.

I think I know how the morality clause acceptable(+)

And if you wanted to sell your bad content on dndbeyond or wizards web sites then you'd have to sign their ToS just like Amazon.

I think I know how the morality clause acceptable(+)

No license. Just like nobody signed a license for Amazon to refuse to host bad content. Nobody else is responsible for Some Author writing something bad except for that author. There's nothing to blame WotC for unless WotC accepts royalties off of said bad work, then you could blame them for...

I think I know how the morality clause acceptable(+)

People are going to write offensive things. Instead of trying to legally stop them, just make it clear to DriveThruRPG, KickStarter, Amazon, Ebay, Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, etc, that content like that should be banned from their platforms. You can create something as awful as SFNG or...

Why We Should Work With WotC

So someday we can have another exciting January Surprise of OGL 1.3? Paizo should put at the top of their home page: "This month, we have not had an NDA meeting with Wizards." Then they take that down when that changes.

Our feedback on your "Post-1.0a OG- initiative" - or are you just trying to keep us from canceling our account? An open letter to WotC.

Coming soon: "We've gathered your feedback and while there is some disagreement, the vast majority support our goals of making DnD a more inclusive product." "Our partners know these improvements will help make the DnD community stronger." "Thank you for your invaluable feedback, it helped...

WotC Talks OGL... Again! Draft Coming Jan 20th With Feedback Survey; v1 De-Auth Still On

Coming this Friday, FRIDAY, Friday (at close of business to make fans and lawyers work through the weekend) it's another Wizard's announcement! They're so proud of their updates, they can't wait to lob it out there and head off to Starbucks.

news scoop: insider account of how the statement was drafted, and the fear-based culture in Wizards offices

As a DM, I just finished a DnD-based XCrawl campaign. Normally I'd just stick to DnD for what I create next because that's what my players know. This gives me the opening to explore another system and bring 7 people with me. And I'm realizing PDFs + old tablets make it easy to hand out the...

95% of you didn't need the OGL and you don't need ORC

You are correct. But I don't care one shinny copper about the SRD. I care about the people that make the cool stuff I want to buy. If they see #ORC as solving problems, they (and #ORC) will get my support.

news scoop: insider account of how the statement was drafted, and the fear-based culture in Wizards offices

I do agree that I won't care for long. I've been ramping up on FoundryVTT + Pathfinder 2E and so very soon I will no longer care about anything Wizards does. Looking forward to Saturday's HumbleBundle to support #ORC!

95% of you didn't need the OGL and you don't need ORC

Just looking at projects that were in mid-flight and are now on hold plus projects that were about to go up on Kickstarter: yes, yes we do need #ORC. WotC should not have the ability to throw hundreds of people's careers and jobs into limbo.

I think they got what they wanted

The path they've now created, though, is: drive everybody to 3rd party games and VTTs, release OneDnD, everybody keeps playing on the VTTs they moved to. This path severely cranks up the difficulty of drawing the crowds back to the new product.

D&D (2024) New leak looks real bad

Wait -- for $30/mo could I create a character and have the AI DM run me through solo adventures? Or do I have to at least create a party of 4? This would be a bit tricky to run them all, but I could focus on one character as the main hero and the other 3 as just minions/sidekicks. This could...
