What's the hardest thing about preparing for RPGs

    What is the GM's Job?

Since every GM will do their campaign differently this is a tough question. I hate GM's who just phone in the game. As a player I tend to tax a weak GM, because I really work my character in the game and I spend all my gold building a residence, or small castle. Ideally, this will lead to...

Playing in Tonisborg with the Bards of Greyhawk

If you are interested in really old Dungeons, this article briefly touches on the subject, but what is perhaps more interesting is that there are photos where you see pieces of Greg Svenson's 1973 dungeon of Tonisborg. http://www.secretsofblackmoor.com/blog/greyhawk-meets-blackmoor To the...

Acquiring books (but not reading them)?

We live in a consumer society and are taught well from a young age that buying is bliss. And I often say this very same thing as in a previous post by Starfox: "Those who have time don't have the money. Those who have the money don't have the time." As a kid it was about exploring new games...

My Attempt to Define RPG's - RPG's aren't actually Games

Well, this bubbled up to the top and I took a look. This is always an interesting subject to me. I won't go into any of my ideas, because I am still debating it all. Yet, this always ends up being quite the study in human consciousness. Since these games are being leveraged by our amazing...

    Cheating in D&D

Yeah, our article is not any kind of game changer. I just feel that people seem to think Dungeon making is too hard, because a lot of people only run modules. But really, it's just so easy and the point is to have fun playing.

    Cheating in D&D

I am a cheater! More silly musings about Cheating at D&D. More for a traditional OSR crowd than the newer RPG's, but who knows. http://www.secretsofblackmoor.com/blog/quick-and-dirty-disposable-dungeons-part-2-how-to-cheat

Secrets of Blackmoor Documentary Offering FREE Screener

Secrets of Blackmoor is seeking support as we reach the expensive stage of film post production. Sure, we can just do everything ourselves, but it would be a couple years before we could finish the film. Unlike other gaming ventures, we don't want to make empty promises and then leave everyone...
