D&D 5E Moon Circle Druid Play Report

Ok, sure, but I've also done the math, so I feel my opinion is at least well-informed. Druid forms by CR: 1: 8 2: 9 3: 3 4: 1 5: 3 6: 1 Some things to note: * Of the form CR upgrades, almost all of them fit into a couple categories: pounce, multiattack, charge * Forms with the most...

D&D 5E Moon Circle Druid Play Report

While this is true, and the DMG has some great rubrics for creating your own monsters that your DM can approve, this kind of advice as a means to fix holes in the system drives me crazy because it completely leaves those in organized play out in the cold.

D&D 5E Moon Circle Druid Play Report

I'm not saying you're wrong, just that Wizards has shown remarkable restraint/vigilance so far. I'm a bit sad that the MM didn't add any forms. D&D 5E Moon Circle Druid Play Report

I'd like to necro this thread to point out that so far this has not been the case. DMG and Monster Manual have not added additional druid forms. All of the interesting new things that were beasts in 4th ed—griffons, winter wolves, bullettes—are now monstrosities.

D&D 5E New D&D Basic Rules DM v0.2 and Cantrip Scrolls

Cantrips provide a lot of utility, and at high levels are much stronger than first level spells. The requirement to choose only a few is what keeps them balanced.

    The "Bubble"

No. According to the rules, a character must move 10 feet in order to have enough velocity to make their charge a threat. If you watch an olympic sprinter and a regular person run, the length of their gate is not significantly different--for each, five feet is only one or two strides...

    Spiked Shield issues

Not by my reading. Besides, in order to get the shield bonus to defenses, proficiency bonus to weapon attacks and your swordmage bonus you would need to take two feats: Light Shield Proficiency Weapon Proficiency (Spiked Shield) There are two other ways to get +1 AC: Hide Armor and Improved...

    The "Bubble"

Easy: the momentum of the charge is part of what makes the attack dangerous. You're basically throwing yourself at your opponent, probably roaring a battle cry, and part of defending against a charge is also absorbing the weight of the attacker. IMHO, this should be emphasized: I would house...
