    D&D 5E Player's Handbook Official Errata

It sounds like you only have experience with the 3.x flavor of clerics. In 1e AD&D (and 2e, until they made specialty priests and Skills & Powers) NO ONE wanted to play a cleric. They were essentially relegated to party support and healing. DaveDash's analogy is apt. As for Twinned Spell, the...

D&D 5E Mage Armor: A (nearly) must have?

Mage Armor literally does nothing for draconic sorcerers, since it also provides a 13+Dex AC. I do agree that (effectively) trading a first level spell slot each day for light armor (i.e., a 13 base AC) is a good tradeoff for most casters. But there are a reasonable number of exceptions, such...

    D&D 5E Why does 5E SUCK?

Wow. I would buy the everloving heck out of that product.

D&D 5E Tyranny of Dragons: Galvan the Blue

There's a (very) short piece on him over at Wizards' site: http://dnd.wizards.com/dungeons-and-dragons/story/villains/galvan My party is just wrapping up HotDQ, and I haven't planned out the arc through RoT yet, so I'll be watching with interest to see what others suggest. :)

    Psionics Coming Soon To D&D?

Don't forget that the next AP they've announced is Underdark-themed, and there's historically been lots of psionic stuff down there -- illithid and aboleths are iconic baddies for that kind of setting. That said, I'd really like a full-on, in-print supplement, but I imagine we're just going to...

D&D 5E Pact of the Blade / Bladelock, looking for thoughts

Y'know, one idea for fixing Fiend Pact that I haven't heard kicked around at all is: instead of just offering armor proficiency, providing DR while wearing light or no armor. I've been playing a Ftr 1/Warlock X through Phandelver, and the benefit of Heavy Armor Master (DR 3 vs. weapons) coupled...

D&D 5E Pact of the Blade / Bladelock, looking for thoughts

The Warlock isn't a good enough spellcaster to compare toe to toe with a Wizard or Cleric. It has much more in common with a ranged martial character (say, an EK Fighter with a focus in Archery) than it does with a primary caster. You guys can argue over whether that was the design intent...

    D&D 5E Gencon release?

I'd guess Spelljammer or even Planescape. Planescape definitely has a cult following, but both of those are pretty nonstandard settings compared to traditional D&D.

    D&D 5E Drizzt' Do Urden

Missed them? Did they end at some point?

D&D 5E Magic Items: DMs Thoughts.

This is basically what 13th Age does, and I kind of love it. Each class has its own list of weapons and damage outputs, so a Rogue does a d8 with a dagger or a short sword.

D&D 5E Video Game Worlds You Wish Were D&D 5E Settings

Not sure I'd want to role-play this -- it sounds like my typical Monday morning.

D&D 5E Video Game Worlds You Wish Were D&D 5E Settings

Final Fantasy 2 and 3 (English, i.e., 4 and 6 Japanese). Both of those games just had tremendous flavor and good settings. For that matter, I really liked FF7's feel, as well. I mean, the newer games may have been great too -- I just haven't played them.

    D&D 5E Ultimate Barbarian....should I multiclass?

If he's already Barb 4, waiting another 5 levels to get an extra attack sounds like a bad course of action, IMO. Personally, I'd probably plan to do something like Barb 5/Ftr 4/Rog 5 and then see whether or not the campaign is over by then. If not, tack on some extra levels of any of those classes.

D&D 5E Is the Champion weak compared to Battle Master?

They didn't. Tony Vargas, you should probably review how concentration works in 5e.

    D&D 5E Renaming +1, +2, +3

I think the complaints that you'd have to look up the name for a +1 weapon on a chart are a little overstated. For example, I don't know offhand what the exact stats are for a Cloak of the Elvenkind in any given edition of D&D, but I know that it's going to be something that helps its wearer...

7 Years of D&D Stories? And a "Big Reveal" Coming?

Do you have a source for the complaining bit? Zendikar was received overwhelmingly positively. I'm sure someone somewhere probably complained about it, but their "Hidden Treasures" promotion was incredibly popular across the board.

D&D 5E Power Gamers Guide to Elemental Evil Players Companion

As much as I'd love for it to be on the Warlock list, it's not unreasonable for it to be a Sorc/Wiz spell. If we get rules for elemental pact warlocks, then it probably (maybe?) shows up on their bonus spell list. The weird part to me is that it's *only* a Wizard spell -- Sorcerers don't get it...

D&D 5E Power Gamers Guide to Elemental Evil Players Companion

I'm pretty sure Ice Knife was originally printed in the 1e Oriental Adventures book as a 2nd level spell, but I could be wrong. It's been a while.

D&D 5E Concentration: Addressing Player Concerns

I haven't thought too much about this approach, but this may work as well as or better than getting rid of saving throws on damage. It does seem like it's more bookkeeping to worry about. I don't have much experience with actual play above level 5 yet, but casters definitely don't seem...

D&D 5E Concentration: Addressing Player Concerns

I'm running one game and (soon to be) playing in another. I'm not at all fond of the damage checks on concentration spells. DMing: My players are relatively new and not terribly rules savvy, so they don't pay too much attention. I've house-ruled away the damage save for concentration spells...
