Spoilers Doctor Who s15 (or 2) [[spoilers!]]

I actually loved the 13th Doctor's episodes, they're probably among my favorite of New Who. Sure there were rough patches (like Kerblam), but they felt like mistakes or missteps as opposed to the showrunners being obsessed with showing off how much cleverer they were than everyone else even if...

AI is addictive and can exacerbate existing issues.

Spoilers Doctor Who s15 (or 2) [[spoilers!]]

Moffat and RTD are producing content for social media. The point is driving engagement, not telling good stories. The mystery box plots and plot threads that never get fully wrapped up are to create as much online speculation as possible.

Spoilers Doctor Who s15 (or 2) [[spoilers!]]

The story would have been fine if it wasn't taking up space that could have been used building the plot. Doctor Who doesn't work with 8 episode seasons AND overarching mystery box plots, there isn't enough room. To go back to a previous discussion on this thread, how does Lux make any sense as...

Spoilers Doctor Who s15 (or 2) [[spoilers!]]

Calling back to the most pointless episode of the last season doesn't bode well. At least Space Babies was well-structured and provided relevant information even if it was otherwise terrible.

Suspension of disbelief since the current Doctor's been so heavily involved.

Spoilers Doctor Who s15 (or 2) [[spoilers!]]

Torchwick managed to avoid being tied too closely to Doctor Who and more specifically The Doctor so you weren't constantly questioning why he's not involved. UNIT is way too closely tied to The Doctor for it to work.

Spoilers Doctor Who s15 (or 2) [[spoilers!]]

That came after the show said anyone who criticizes UNIT is the same as Conrad and after that happened we got the scene with Conrad and maybe The Doctor where The Doctor talks about how they're saving lives. If the showrunners wanted to do an episode about how conspiracy theorists are awful...

Spoilers Doctor Who s15 (or 2) [[spoilers!]]

Come to think of it...was Conrad ever inside the TARDIS and did he actually meet The Doctor? Sure it can materialize around someone and shunt them into whatever room it wants, but...Conrad DID say he rejected The Doctor's reality and then he was immediately back inside his cell as if nothing...

    Spoilers THUNDERBOLTS* (spoilers I guess?)

I know. It's interesting that they took a character who was a Neo Nazi in the comics and made it so that his goal in the MCU is to destroy people with super powers because he thinks they'll inevitably turn fascist.

    Spoilers THUNDERBOLTS* (spoilers I guess?)

In the comics the Thunderbolts were formed by Baron Zemo (who is the Neo Nazi son of a OG Nazi in the comics) and he specifically chose the name because it's "crypto-fascist" (that's an exact quote) and lets him chuckle about the dogwhistle going over the heads of the public. Which is why they...

Spoilers Doctor Who s15 (or 2) [[spoilers!]]

One of The Doctor's consistent traits has been standing against oppression, especially from powerful institutions. They have repeatedly called out minor abuses of power as being a slippery slope and that just because someone is awful doesn't mean they deserve to die. Like in Voyage of the...

Spoilers Doctor Who s15 (or 2) [[spoilers!]]

It's jarring because we went from 15 crying over killing Sutekh (who gleefully murdered literally everyone except The Doctor and Ruby throughout all of time and space) during last season's finale to cackling over villain deaths this season.
