What's your favorite superhero TTRPG and why?

I own/play/run lots of RPG genres, but there is definitely a special place in my heart for Supers games. TSR Marvel Superheroes was the first game I bought after D&D red box. While there is something I like about all of many RPGs I own...if I had to pick...let's say three of them: Tied for...

RPG Crowdfunding News – 5e Oz, Defiant, Synthicide, and more

I've never read the Oz books, but now I'm definitely thinking about it. I do love the original movie, the prequel "Oz the Great & Powerful", and the Syfy miniseries "Tin Man".

RPG Crowdfunding News – 5e Oz, Defiant, Synthicide, and more

5E isn't my jam, nothing against it and I have more than a few 5E games, but I'm all in on the Oz setting regardless. It's got me really intrigued. I can always use the setting info in any of my preferred systems if I so choose. :)

Malleus Monstrorum Unboxing (Not Responsible for Nightmares or TPKs)

As an owner I can say this is indeed a beautiful (?) monster of a monster collection. Chaosium does big books well. I've got the slipcase of the core books, the slipcase of the Masks of Nyarlathotep, the slipcase of Horror on the Orient Express, and this slipcase collection. They are breaking...

Shoot Mi-Gos Right in the Convoluted Ellipsoid in Pulp Cthulhu

I love the option for both styles of play, just as I like both genres...pulp adventure and mostly hopeless fight against the unknown. I need the break from the hopeless situation of Lovecraft's writing once in a while and play a game where my characters feel like they actually CAN make a...

Welcome to the World of Papercraft

Battle Systems is absolutely amazing! I've been a part of everyone of their terrain Kickstarters, much to the terror of my checking account...because I can't back "small". I've got to have the option for 6' x 4' setups or I'm not satisfied. =) All of the sets have been amazing and they...

Marvel to Launch Official 'MARVEL MULTIVERSE' Tabletop Role-Playing Game in 2022

I have to admit that I'm a little bummed by the news of a new Marvel RPG with a different system, instead of it getting the Cortex Prime treatment to carry on after Marvel Heroic ended. I have every Marvel RPG...FASERIP, SAGA, Marvel Universe Roleplaying (also published by Marvel directly), and...

RPG Print News – Ulisses Spiele, Pinnacle, Palladium and More

We played the heck out of Palladium back in the day. Beyond the Supernatural is still one of my favorites...along with Robotech, Rifts, and Nightspawn/Nightbane. I still think the magic and psychic systems are inspired. Add to that the way that ley lines/nexus, special mystical/cosmological...

The 10 Most Anticipated Tabletop RPGs of 2021

You can still get the product at the company store Pine Box Entertainment | Official Home of Doomtown: Reloaded as well as Drive Thru Cards, and of course other online outlets.

The 10 Most Anticipated Tabletop RPGs of 2021

Tell me about it. I just bought heavily into the Warfighter and Doomtown: Reloaded card games. I knew of them, but it took years for me to get dragged in. Then down the rabbit-hole I fell...along with my wallet...

Chaosium's Lords of the Middle Sea Cover Art

The cover sold me! I don't have anything against BRP, but it isn't my go-to system...though I absolutely love the quality of Chaosium's books and products. Can't wait to add this one to my shelves!

The 10 Most Anticipated Tabletop RPGs of 2021

Heh feels like just yesterday that I got my Pendragon 5.2 Edition, Prince Valiant, and Paladin.

The 10 Most Anticipated Tabletop RPGs of 2021

Wow...2 of my 3 votes made #1! I backed Twilight 2000 and preordered Dune. Sad that a couple others didn't make the top 10, but can't all be there. Looking forward to a lot of goodness from 2021. (It has a lot to make up for 2020's madness!)

Dragonlance Dragonlance Lawsuit Dismissed Without Prejudice

Heh...I find it a little funny that some folks are discounting the viability of a Dragonlance revival because there haven't been new books recently. Don't we have a Lord of the Rings series coming out soon...and a new edition/version of The One Ring RPG? When were those source novels written? :)

Dragonlance Dragonlance Lawsuit Dismissed Without Prejudice

All I know is that I read the books and really enjoyed them. Dragonlance is my favorite D&D setting, bar none. It would have been nice to see official material for D&D 4E, which was my favorite of the D&D editions (and I've played them all). Just personal taste. I thought we were getting...

Dragonlance Dragonlance Lawsuit Dismissed Without Prejudice

Nothing against Jim Butcher, but very glad that the Hickman/Weis stories weren't changed. It says a lot about his character that Butcher respected W & H's creation when he learned they hadn't blessed the project.
