You seem to think (for lack of a better word) that GR did no true effort into working out a deal with WotC, if that were true, why wait until now? If there was no interest at all they could have made this announcement the next day 4th edition was announced and continue to work on their own line...

No doubt it required courage to be the first big publisher to say NO to the GSL. Now it is a matter of time before the rest does the same. Maybe if 4th edition is a big hit and the GSL is toned down they will change their mind next year. Too many "maybes".

I still think the best path is to update NWN to 1.64, then update to CEP 1.5 final (tomorrow is the scheduled release date) and then update to PrC 2.2b (scheduled soon). This way the server would feel "new and improved". Of course this is only my opinion :-p

I don't see why, it has an auto installer so windows users can add it easily (and I suppose linux and osx users can always copy the updated NWN windows install). The only logic reason I can think at this time for not installing it is because you are waiting for the imminient releae of NWN 1.64...

Here we are discussing D&D, specificaly the VP/WP rules in unearthead arcana. If you read the behind the curtain sidebar you will notice how the talk about reducing sneak attack damage to 1 hp/die and if you read the whole article you would notice that threat ranges are increased, not decreased...
