Classic D&D of All Eras Back In Print

That's awesome if it's applied to a much greater volume of the back catalog. I wonder if my more than decent sized collection of out of print titles will plummet in value, not that I'd ever sell any of it anyway. I guess it'll depend on print quality, I'd be very curious about that.

    D&D 5E Mearl's Book Design Philosophy

Well, I guess Mearls never stumbled upon 2e's Monstrous Arcana: I Tyrant, and The Illithiad, or the 3.5e Lords of Madness. Otherwise, he might have reconsidered the content of Volo's Guide to Monsters.

October 2016 Sage Advice & PHB Errata

I certainly haven't noticed the PHB errata on Glyph of Warding. "The effect needn't be harmful", oh my, now that opens a world of possibility.

D&D 5E Book With Page Falling Out

I've had two Player's Handbooks and a Monster Manual fall apart so far. I sent one of the Player's Handbooks to them and they replaced it. Unfortunately, it took about five weeks to get the replacement. I would suggest getting a number from support, so UPs will pick the book up, then you won't...

D&D 5E Player Races in Upcoming Volo's Guide to Monsters

Yes, it's hard to get excited, I've little use for a bunch of oddball races.

    D&D 5E De-Modernizing The Technomancy Wizard Tradition

As far as the Online Casting feature, maybe the wizard could cast a spell through an arcane eye, clairvoyance sensor, or scrying pool. Being able to concentrate on two spells, via a chained 'device', would be super powerful. In fact, I'd be willing to take the sub-class just for that.

    D&D 5E Planar Binding

As far as I can tell, Planar Binding (1 hour casting time) can't be used in conjunction with any of the Conjure X spells (Concentration, up to 1 hour duration). The Planar Binding's casting would complete an instant after the conjured creature disappeared, it's duration having expired. It's...

    D&D 5E Concentration

Unfortunately, it looks like concentration is broken as soon as you begin casting another concentration spell. Crawford tweeted an answer concerning the casting of Witchbolt after casting True Strike here.

Latest D&D Survey Says "More Feats, Please!"; Plus New Survey About DMs Guild, Monster Hunter, Inqui

Some folks can't differentiate between the overwhelming glut of published books in prior editions and the trickle we've received for 5E. There is no happy medium with them, anything beyond adventures will mark the downfall of the edition. Others may be DMs who can't pony up and tell their...

Yes, one way to make sure no one plays a human is to remove the Human Variant.

D&D 5E Any news about upcoming 5e WOTC products (post April 2016)?

No announcements, but Crawford said in a recent podcast that he's working on four books, it comes during the last 5-10 minutes of the interview. One of the books is a big adventure, and "at least some of the other three are not adventures". However, no specific details of any kind were given.

ZENDIKAR -- Where Magic: The Gathering and D&D Collide!

Interesting, this is the absolute last campaign setting I'd ever want. It's interesting they have resources to put towards this, but not the established settings. Whatever, it's not as if they want money for it, well not yet anyway.

D&D 5E D&D survey March 2016--Awakened Mystic, Kits of Old survey results, and "first, major mechanical expansion"

New options of any kind would be great. I hope, at least, that some of it can be hammered into the setting specific mechanics of the currently unsupported campaign settings. I didn't get the impression it was going to be a '.5' at all, only a splat book. I prefer sub-classes, as opposed to new...

D&D comes to Middle Earth (from Cubicle 7)

Shoehorning the D&D magic system into Middle Earth would be quite a task, if that's what they intend to do.

    D&D 5E 6-8 encounters/day - how common is this?

I've been playing since the public play-test, and not a single session went over three encounters. And, more often than not, all of those encounters didn't utilize expendable resources. The classes that depend on short rest renewal seem to play much differently than probably intended, in my...

    D&D 5E 5E Psionics Conversion.

Maybe at 3rd level, though you might end up disintegrating yourself in the process! But, yes, there's no reason to port over broken elements of the system. Placing a cap on the number of points you can spend on power, as done in the Unearthed Arcana version, should prevent the psionicist from...

    D&D 5E 5E Psionics Conversion.

I'd need a refresher on 2e and to delve into 3e implementation to formulate a good response. But, after looking at Unearthed Arcana 'Mystic', I'd certainly miss the Psychic Contests, Telepathic Combat (attack/defense modes), and arrangement of disciplines in an analogous way to spell schools. I...
